Knock Knock Knock
Three sharp, pointed knocks echo into the oversized room.
"Oh my lords, five more minutes Hunter!" I yell, placing a pillow over both my ears.
"Hunter?" I hear a woman's voice outside. "Y/N. It is Count Erea. The prince said he would notify you of my arrival."
I instantly spring up out of bed, rushing over to my closet and pulling out my robe. I feel my face go warm.
Oh, how embarrassing.
As I tightly wrapped the robe around my body, I slowly opened the door. Black, long hair is pulled back to reveal a furrowed, warm face. Glinting amber eyes, set tightly within their sockets, peer at me closely.
"Good morning, Y/N. Here's this week's itinerary. It is very important that you follow it closely," she says. She has a slight country accent, but it's so slight that I can barely even point it out. It's almost like she's concealing it.
I grab the folder from her hand. "Thank you very much, Count Erea."
She bows. "Of course. You will meet the prince at eight AM this morning to begin your day."
I close the door behind her, as I look through the itinerary.
8:00- 9:00: Breakfast and Morning Meeting
10:00-11:00: Meeting with King Oiver of Sallom
11:00-12:00: Lunch at the castle
12:00-3:00: Free Time
4:00-5:30: Meet with Princess Anahita of Greenward.
6:30-7:00: Free Time
7:00-8:00: Dinner
I look through today's itinerary while putting on my clothes.
Okay, first things, first, breakfast.

I stand in front of my seat at the long dinner table, and look up at the clock.
8:27
I roll my eyes. Where is he? Any later and he might not even have time for breakfast.
I straighten my skirt, and begin walking to his quarters.
"Y/N," I hear a voice behind me. "Good morning." I quickly turn on my heels. It's the same dark green eyes and dark hair that I saw last night before dinner. He runs up next to me and we begin walking toward the prince's chambers together.
"Laiken. Good morning," I reply. "How did you sleep?"
He shrugs. "Same as always, I just want to know how you're settling in." He smiles brightly.
Warmth melts across my face. I attempt to smile back. "U...uh yeah, I'm settling in really well! It's just really different. Culture shock, you know?"
"I get it," he nods. "I was like that too. You get used to it in no time."
I nod. "So what are your plans for today?"
"You know, a couple meetings here and there. But after 4, I'm all good," I announce.
"Oh, excellent. I am free after 8," he looks around before steping closer , bending down, and whispering in your ear. "If you're up for it, I have something to show you. Probably the most beautiful place in town."
I raise my brows. "Where?"
I notice how close he is. His dark green eyes look kind in the soft glow of the early morning light. His jet black hair shines, almost sparkles, and falls over his face in a messy, yet alluring style.
"Well, that's a secret," He smirks. "Well, I'll let you think about it. If you do want to go, meet me here at eight o'clock."
"What's at eight o'clock?"
We both jump, letting out a little yelp. I notice Laiken stand up straight and break into a nervous sweat as he sees who's in front of us. Prince Axel. Laiken looks like he's at a loss for words, so I swiftly step in.
"Good morning, Prince Axel," I bow and Laiken quickly follows suit. "We were just talking about how it's unfortunate that you may not eat because breakfast started at eight, and it is now 8:46. We were just on our way to go get you."
His stern look softens. "Oh. Understood. Laiken, you may exit now."
"Yes, your highness," Laiken says, bowing one last time. Before heading off, he shoots me a quick glance and smile.
After Laiken's speedy departure, he turns to me.
"My apologies, Prince Axel, I should've came and woken you up earlier. I take full responsibility and would like to ask for your forgiveness," I say, swiftly bowing.
Suddenly, a hand grabs my chin and gently pulls me up. My cheeks feel hot.
"Y/N," He smiles, "No need for formalities. We are going to be together for a while, so we must not waste time on trivial procedures. No bowing, and call me Axel, okay?"
"Oh... Okay." I respond. A cold chill tickles my spine.
Why is he being so nice to me? Didn't I just disrespect his country to his face a few days ago?
We continue down the corridor. By the time we make it back to the dining room, the clock reads 8:53. Axel quickly grabs a croissant and orange off the table, and heads towards the door with me on his heels.
"You have the itinerary, right? So where to?"
