"𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲!"

Dixie complained as Kairi stared blankly at his pack of stamps and assortment of stationary items. Kairi's best friend, Dixie D'Amelio, was currently hanging out at his house, painting her nails a baby blue color. Kairi was having a little crisis, debating on whether he should mail them out yet.

Kairi glared at Dixie.

"It isn't that easy! Now hush, you're hurting my ears," Kairi huffed as he wrote down Alejandro's address.

Dixie rolled her eyes and blew gently on her nails. She had just turned 18 the previous week and made her birthday wish that Kairi would find his true love soon after mailing his letters. And that wish led them to his moment.

Dixie's sister, Charli, was also close friends with Kairi. Charli was one year younger than Kairi. They were the power trio, the PowerPuff Bitches. 16, 17, and 18. Dixie's phone rang as Charli called her to come pick her up from dance practice.

"Ok, calm down Charli, I'm coming. I gotta drop off Kairi at the post office. Jeez, stop screaming. And yes, he is sending the letters. See ya," Dixie said into her phone.

"Why can't you drive? I'm tired of being you and Charli's chauffeur," Dixie grumbled.

"Only if you want me to crash the car," Kairi snorted.

"We both know that you can drive perfectly fine, you lazy piece of shit," Dixie snickered.

Kairi flipped her off and Dixie started to play some music while letting her nails fully dry.

As Kairi finished writing, his nose began to itch and he sneezed, his finger smudging the ink. Kairi let out an aggravated groan and left it the way it was. He didn't feel like wasting another expensive envelope.

Cupid watched intently, confused as to why Kairi didn't want to get another envelope.

Usually, the boy was smitten with Alejandro and would do anything for him. But now, he didn't want to use another envelope. It wasn't that big of a deal, but Cupid knows that a little thing goes a long way. Especially in relationships. He decided to stick around to see what would happen, wondering why Kairi's commitment towards Alejandro changed.

Dixie cheered as she drove them to the post office. As they listened to Ribs by Lorde, Kairi sat in the passenger seat, clutching the pack of envelopes to his chest. As they neared the post office, Kairi's anxiety began to rise and he began to doubt himself.

"I don't think we should do this anymore," Kairi mumbled as he stood outside of Dixie's car.

"C'mon, I'll be right behind you. If Alejandro is a jerk, then I'll curbstomp his perm-headed ass for you," Dixie declared, making Kairi giggle.

"For the record, Alejandro doesn't have a perm," Kairi pointed out as they reached the entrance.

"Way to ruin the moment, Kai. Ok, after you, loverboy," Dixie said with a smile as she held the door open.

After they sent the letters, Dixie dropped him off at his house and Kairi waved her goodbye. He walked into his house with an uneasy feeling that made him sick to his stomach. Something definitely wasn't right.

Kairi buried his head in his hands, eyes screwed and he sighed.

"𝐎𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐈'𝐦 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬."
