All Puffed Out

Chapter 1:

Ah, it was a nice evening in Bikini Bottom and Mrs. Puff was finally ready to settle down for the day.

She couldn't sleep for hours, knowing that the next day, she would have to give SpongeBob his driver's test for the millionth time.

She drank a big cup of hot milk and turned her lights off as she tries relax between her soft covers of her bed.

"It's going to be okay. It's just another test with SpongeBob. Just...another...test." Mrs. Puff said to herself as she slowly drifts off to sleep.

When suddenly, the phone rang and Mrs. Puff's red, bloodshot eyes shot open as she turned on her lights and picked up the phone.

"Hello?" She answered with grogginess in her voice.

"Hi Poppy, it's your sister Pauline here, I need a favor from you, I hope I didn't wake you up, but it's an emergency." The voice on the other end responded.

"Hey Pauline and no, you didn't wake me up. I couldn't sleep anyways, what do you need?" Mrs. Puff asked sleepily.

"Well, my manager wants me to relocate to Bass Vegas for tomorrow's shift at Kelp Jewels and I have no one to watch my son Lucas for the day. You remember him right?" Pauline asked.

"Of course! I haven't seen the little fellow since he was 3. How is he now?" Mrs. Puff asked back.

"Well, let me put this in two words for you. 16 and trouble. Ever since he got to high school, he has been acting very rebellious and he always ends up in the principal's office multiple times for reckless endangerment. I just don't know how to deal with him anymore." Pauline said in a stressed tone.

"Oh. I see." Mrs. Puff said in a worried tone, but sighs and decides to help her sister.

 Regardless of what the kid could do, he is still her only nephew.

"I'm sorry that I have to do this to you, but it's only for 1 day and I promise that as soon as I'm done with my shift, I'll drive by you house and pick him up at night. Then you don't have to deal with him anymore, but please, I'm begging you. Just 1 day." Pauline pleaded.

"It's okay Pauline. I'll take care of him. It'll be fine. He can stay in my boating class tomorrow and maybe I can find a way to brush off some of that bad steam by the time you get back." Mrs. Puff reassured to her sister.

"Well I can't promise you that it'll work, but alright then. I'll drop him off at your work in the morning. You better get sleep. Goodnight." Pauline said.

"Yeah, I will. Goodnight." Mrs. Puff said in a tired tone as she hung up the phone.

"Ugh. Now I have two delinquents to deal with. What a nightmare!...it's okay. It'll be fine. It's just one day. Just...one...day." Mrs. Puff said to herself as she turned off the lights and went back to sleep.

Chapter 2:

The next day, Mrs. Puff got dressed and drove her boat to the school.

When she got there, the school hasn't even opened and yet, SpongeBob was waiting for her at the earliest moment he can be.

Mrs. Puff, knowing SpongeBob, was in no mood to fuss with him about being too early, walked up to the school and unlocked the door to let him inside.

As she reached her desk, she took a moment to breathe before she laid out her plans for the day.

"So Mrs. Puff when do I get to drive? Today is my boating test again and I'm ready to take the writing portion of it right now." SpongeBob said excitedly.
