Raven's P.O.V
Ginger snaps. That's the first food I ever tried in the outside world. An extra treat for a successful mission .They were thin biscuits which exploded with flavour in your mouth. This store had loads of them.
Will was laid on top of the counter, he looked so gentle asleep.
He'll probably murder me if I told him that. The lady with the frying pan bandaged his arm properly- her name was Ida. She was pretty old but she didn't seem intimidated at all by two random strangers covered in blood at her doorstep. After giving us a second look she didn't seem to think we were dangerous and began helping us. I mean, there's no need to tell her we are from some nefarious organization. I didn't like the look of that frying pan.
"Ugh I feel like shit" came a small voice in the corner.
"Glad to see your awake"
After explaining our situation to Will, we decided we needed a game plan for what to do next. Our best shot was to find somewhere relatively secluded but not too far from a city. But first, I really needed a change of clothes.
I washed up and put on some clothes that Ida gave me. It was starngebto see my reflection so, normal looking. Wearing these normal clothes, eating these normal things yet it felt so foreign but I loved it. Turns out blue looks pretty good on me. After washing up I walked up to Will. He was standing beside Ida, who was laying quietly with eyes shut on a chair.
" I put her too sleep" Will said gleefully.
"WILL YOU KILLED HER!" I half-shouted.
"No you idiot I just gave her a blanket." He replied, annoyed I turned his good deed into murder.
I looked around until I found the flower bins that the store keeps.I picked up a vibrant red rose and gently placed it on her lap. Red can make things look dazzling. A gentleman once gave me one before I shot him in the head so I can only assume it was a kind gesture.
"Our first friend" I whispered wistfully.
"Until you thought I killed her"
"And you've ruined it"

Okay so it turns out money is apparently very important and people don't like it when you steal from them. Will learned that the hard way and now we had to run for a lot longer that I'd liked.
"All right I'm getting the money this time." I huffed at him.
We had finally made it into the city. It was... beautiful. The colours were bright and popped from everywhere. The sun made the lampposts sparkle and heavy chatter filled the lonely air. The streets were busy and noone cared about what anyone else was doing apart from themselves.
A perfect situation of pickpocketing.
I spotted a man across the street. He was wearing a blazer and jeans and looked pretty safe. He was distracted by his phone ringing."Yes Tony, I've gone to get it. Look I don't really care if you wanted..."
I snagged his wallet and he was none the wiser. Even if he was, what could someone like him even do. Now we had the money, just need to find some decent place to stay.
We headed towards the outskirts of the city. There was a small shack with words 'come in' on the sign. It was near a couple of fields but also pretty close to the city. It also didn't look particularly shifty which is usually a good thing. A lady was waiting inside.
"Welcome! What kind a room would you like? A single, double bed? How many nights? Would you like a breakfast deal?" bombarded the lady. My mind went blank and I started confusedly at her.
"2 single room please. Pay was we go an breakfast thanks.' Will requested sweetly. That boy can turn on the charm when he wants.
She showed us our rooms and all I could say was wow. They seemed perfect. A small, white bed in the corner by a window, a dresser next to it and a bathroom all to myself! I think I just reached heaven early, although I always presumed I was going to hell.
Will grinned at me, a full puppy grin. We had done it. We were free.
Or so we had thought...Hiii, sorry for not uploading. I have big exams this year but I will try to update when I have time.
