Raven's P.O.V

"Do it! Pull the trigger! And again. More!"

'This is only the beginning. You can be so much more."

"Raven... save me"

"Nooo!"
************************************

Sweat dripping from my head, I woke up with my heart pounding in my ears. My head hurt too much to think about where this fragment of a memory fit in.

I'll figure it out another day. Procastination has always been a speciality of mine.

It's been another week. Peaceful, generic, almost too calm. I loved it.
Will and I found this breath-taking field only a couple of miles form our inn and we decided to visit it today. Of course, we were accompanied by Mr Whiskers.

I've only know this bunny for a week but I will die for it as if it was my own child.

We lolled around a couple of hills and played games on a phone we bought. I am yet to beat his infuriatingly highscore on flappy bird. How in the world did he get 118 whilst I'm stuck on a measly 67? Blasphemy!

"Hey Raven? You think we can have a family?"

I spit out the water that I should've been drinking.

"Nooo not like that!" He laughed. "I mean one by ourselves. With 2 kids and 5 different rabbits. One for everyone and an extra one just because! Wouldn't that be amazing?"

"I don't really see the point in children," I replied nochalantly. "No hate towards them it's just, I would rather have my own life by myself. But a family wouldn't be too awful I guess- and only 5 bunnies. Ha, wuss"

We both laughed slightly before Will's expression turned wistful.

"I suppose we can't since we would always be on the run. What if Hydra found us? And put our family in danger? What if I can't get them back and lose them too?" he said sorrowfully.

"Hey hey, we're free now! There's no need to be worrying ourselves already. Plus it is way too early to be thinking of this. Live in the present for a while and think of that later"

It's only natural to think the worst. As trained assassins, we were taught to consider every outcome and always assume nothing will go the way it was planned . This way we were prepared for every situation, but now we don't need to do that. Sure we've got to watch our back but for once we can look at the glass half full.

Will gave a sigh before completely collapsing onto the floor.

"MR WHISKERS ATTACK ME" he shouted as Mr whiskers jumped onto his face, showering him tiny nibbles . That's right, this is how life should be.

We both sat silently for a while, taking it all in. The fresh air, the cool breeze sweeping across our faces. The smell of pine wafting around . However , something just felt missing.

Kablaam!

Ah, there it is.

Will jumped towards the side and I followed, covering him. Another blast followed and we sprinted towards the grove of trees. That seemed to be a mistake as arrows began flying at us and were way too close for comfort. A couple grazed my shoulder and side, whilst Will seemed to be doing all right.

As we head back out onto the open fields, a man descended down before us, adorned with a shield a sporting a blue Spandex suit. Not my wardrobe choice but hey, he owned it.

"Your coming with me." He stated

"To what? A costume party?"

He threw the shield at us at an alarming speed however I managed to drop and duck just before rolling toward him and kicking his legs under him. He caught himself and decided to connect a fist with my jaw, which I must say wasn't very gentleman- like. Will grabbed his arm as he retreated, pushing with all
his might against him, causing the Spandex man to fall over onto his back.

We ran off towards a cliff. I glanced at Will and my eyes trailed to a red splodge on his arm slowly forming. Of course, I had almost forgotten he had only been shot a week earlier and the sticthes we placed earlier must've been torn. I had to consider this factor whilst fighting as he wouldn't nearly be as useful as he could've been.

We stopped for a moment to catch our breath, however it was a moment too long as a kick came flying my way, pure instinct came in as I diverted it and stepped to the side. A woman stood in front of me, her glowing red hair flowing freely in the air. A shield flew towards Will and he fell on his back, grabbing Mr Whiskers and holding him tightly to his chest. The shield itself became stuck in a crook of the cliff wall behind us. I grabbed it, giving a kick to the woman and thre myself over at Will, holding the shield in front of us.

"Raven, what do we do?" Will asked.
I... Couldn't tell him. We were outnumbered, two in front of us, someone who was firing what seemed to be a small bomb at us as well as the arrowhead in the trees. Not only that, but we had no weapons of the sort. Our only guns bad been blown up earlier.

No, I had to think calmly and rationally.

"Okay follow my lead."

I looked above the shield and saw the two in front of us, ready to pounce at any second. I hurled the shield at them before taking off towards to side of the cliff which had a steady slope upwards. We had trailed this path a couple of days ago so the route was freshly implanted in my memory.

We took the legnthier route with mroe obstacles, trees and large rocks covering us. We could hear shouts in the near distance, names such as Nat and Cap , as well as Tony was mentioned. I assumed the archer had caught up or possibly...a fifth person?

We had reached one of the edges before Will began to pant and fell to his knees. Blood was dripping from his shirt and his eyes looked dreary. Mr Whisker hopped out of his hands and into mine, red splattered on his fur.

"Raven, go, I... Can't " he puffed.

I gritted my teeth. There has to be some way, any way. Maybe we could... Or perhaps... We could... Oh I have no idea what to do.

"RAVEN, please... Go!" He shouted.

"No. We go together or not all." I put his arm around my shoulder and placed Mr Whiskers down.

For as long as I can remember it had been Will and I. Every mission, every game , every awful torture we made it through together and I'm not willing to change that for a second. Together till the end.

"Remember us will you Mr Whiskers," I grinned at him as he slowly twitched his nose at us.

Is that sadness I detect? Who knew animals could have feelings.

I carefully walked over to the edge with Will as we looked over the sunset. The golden ball in the sky graving us with its light as it descended onto the bare fields, soundless shouts emerging from the background.

It will be over, all over.

"See you in another life?" I said.

"Bitch I'm holding hands with grim reaper with you." I looked at him.

A week of peace, I guess that's all I really wanted. To die here wouldn't be the worst. All things considered this was the best option. No way in hell am I going back to Hydra or any other organization. Death seemed like a pleasurable escape.

So we jumped.

"Now where do you thing you're going? The party's just started."

Who is this entering now???
