Raven's P.O.V
My eyes slowly opened; the black becoming brighter and objects became less blurry. My back throbbed and the agony overwhelmed me. I attempted to sit up, wincing with every movement.
The door opened and the guards threw the boy in, his blonde hair streaked with red now. As his body slammed against the floor, he curled slightly as if to protect himself.
"Will?" I asked, my voice croaking as I lacked water. His silence told me he had passed out too. His shirt was torn completely from the back and large cuts ran across his back. I could only assume that horrendous image was across my own back as well.
I managed to drag myself towards the corner away from the door where we keep our stash of medical supplies. The room itself was relatively small, and dark grey, although it could be lighter. The little light we had didn't help my eyesight much. It was rather empty as it only contained a couple of sheets and two pillows. There was a tiny, barred window in the corner but nowhere near as big enough to escape from. Trust me, we tried.
I tended to Will first before caring for my own wounds. I used to be awful a dressings but Will taught me to better. He is much better at this doctory stuff then I am. After a while he began stir.
Unfortunately for him, he rolled onto his back."Oww! Ahhh! Owww!" He whimpered .
"If you controlled your unconscious self you wouldn't have done that.' I stated.
"A simple 'are you okay' would've been fine"
"Noted"
He groaned and lay on his front whilst staring at me. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"What?"
"How bad was it?" He asked. I didn't answer, not wanting to replay the memory. Will got the hint and didn't pry. He simply answered 'Yeah, me too'.
Will dozed off for a couple hours whilst sleep decided to avoid me completely. I sat around silently and waited for whatever we had to go through next. Heavy boots thudded against the floor in the distance. I shook Will awake and he rose quickly, his wide eyes scanning the area before they rest on the locked door.
Creaaaaaakkkk
A guard dressed completely in black walked in. He had guns strapped onto him and had a baton in his hand which were a ploy to intimidate us- it worked perfectly.
"Get up"
Years of training forced us to comply immediately. My shoulders shook slightly, barely recovering from the session earlier.
"SE171, SE174, you have a new mission. Files will be given first thing tomorrow. For now we require you to rest in order to be prepared. Tomorrow you shall have new trackers implanted into you as the technology is finally ready. Make sure you are prepared" his robotic voice told us. As quickly as he entered he left, another person came after him and left us some food.
Once the door shut we both let out our breath we didn't know we were holding.
"Will, what are we going to do. We can't have this things implanted in us! We'll never escape, ever. We'll be stuck in this hellhole forever." I cried
Will played with the bread in his hand. His eyes looked thoughtful as a small smile played on his lips.
"Then I guess we will have to leave tonight"
I reflected his smile. The idea had occured to us numerous times but the few times we had tried , we failed. I guess now we had no choice. It was either now or neither and we both had nothing to lose.
Goodbye Hydra, hello freedom
