"Mommy!" My small daughter giggled as I chased her around the small play ground, I smiled enjoying the moment. "Come here baby, I think it's time to go Jheliah." I said grabbing the five year olds hand, she whined "Mommy you say we stay until night time?" She said making a face, I raised my eyebrow. "I did? Well I don't remember it but come on before it get dark. We have stuff to do tomorrow." I said picking her up, I began walking to the car until someone bumped me. "My bad mama, I wasn't watching where I was going." He spoke in a deep raspy voice. "It's fine," I said about to walk away "Wait, let me get your number so I could take you out as an apology for bumping into you and your beautiful child." He said flashing me a bright smile, I mentally rolled my eyes. I did not have the time for this.
I shook my head no and continued to walk to my car. I owned a baby blue hellcat charger, that was passed to me by my older sister Mila. See I wasn't rich nor was I broke, I was just wealthy enough to provide for my daughter and I. I also owned an three bedroom apartment. I worked two jobs to provide for us after I had Jheliah, I could barely provide for myself before Sean came along and knocked me up.
I went to him one night crying about the things I was going to because he was my best friend, he told me he would take my pain away and well... then came Jheliah. After I had her Sean ran away and after about two years he came back around because his now girl friend Ariana forced him to. Me being a good person said okay and forgave him, I also adore Ari. She's such a good person and she treats Jheliah like her own when she's with them.
"Aye shordy!" The dude yelled jogging up to my car, I rolled my eyes as I buckled Jheliah in her car seat. "You really not gone give me yo number?" He asked smiling, nope. Don't want it. "No." I said simply before closing Jheliah's door, I walked over to the drivers side door and got in. He followed me and held the door. "Please? I won't make you regret it." He said making me sigh. "Fine." I said holding my hand out for him to give me his phone, he smiled and handed it to me; I typed in my text now number because I was far from dumb and handed it back to him.
"Preciate it shordy. I'll text you later." He said closing my door and jogging back over to his friends I guess. I didn't even see them at first, I turned my car own and made my way home.
After 10 minutes I pulled into my driveway and got out, I then helped Jheliah out and locked the doors after I grabbed my phone and her book bag. I walked to the door with the smaller girl in front of me, I know she was excited to be home so she could go and play upstairs. She was very energetic but quiet. I unlocked the door and walked in behind her, I sat her bag down next to the door and locked it. "Mommy's about to go take a shower okay?" I said to the little version of myself, she nodded and went into the play room.
I pushed the white gate up to block the door before heading to my room. I grabbed me some silk black pajamas and headed to the bathroom, I started the water and made sure it was extra hot just how I liked it. I undressed and got in, I closed my eyes as the water hit my skin.
After about 20 minutes in the shower I got out and dried off, I then applied my coco butter lotion to my skin then slid on my under clothes then my pajamas. I walked back to the door of Jheliah's play room and seen her asleep on the floor, I carefully moved the small gate aside and stepped in; I picked her up and headed toward the bathroom. "I take a bath mommy?" She asked sleepily.
I nodded my head yes and kicked her cheek, we reached the bathroom where I helped her undress. I then ran her water and helped her in, "I know how to wash up mommy." She said in her small voice, I nodded and began doing my skin routine. I then put my hair into a neat bun which was going to fuck up over night but who cares, I grabbed a clean towel and wiped my face. After Jheliah's bath I did the same for her skin care routine.
"Can we get ice cream?" She asked as I had just finished putting on her Sofia the first pajamas, I sighed and nodded. "Just a little bit mama, we can't stay up all night this time. We have things to do tomorrow." I said causing her to pout and nod "Fine then, ice cream when we not have thing to do?" She asked crossing her little arms, I nodded and picked her up kissing all over her face as we made it to my room and she was a giggling fit.
"You sleeping in here?" I asked and she nodded, well I knew that. "Okay good night baby." I said turning the lights off leaving the tv and lamp beside my bed on, "night mommy." She said before yawning, she then laid on me and slowly drifted off leaving me in my thoughts before I went to sleep.
