Kim Taehyung sat in front of yet another woman. He hated these types of dates. The dates that were arranged by his parents in hopes of finding him a wife of their status.

He just wanted to take care of his five year old son, live a quiet life, and manage the company without any distractions.

He always told himself that he would never marry another woman again.

Because, the ones he met only had one thing on their minds:

Money. And the one he had so foolishly married, cheated.

So he took his car, his clothes, and his son far, far away.

He could recall the one time a girl made him spill a drink onto her bag.

She cried in such an annoying way, that he just wanted to smack the shit out of her until she dropped dead.

Long story short.

She got a new bag, priced at 10,000 dollars.

And Taehyung, Taehyung got nothing but a middle finger as he left her on the side of the road, a mile from her house.

He didn't care then, and he doesn't care now.

Today wasn't as bad, but he really wanted to go home.

He promised to make cheese corn dogs for his son, to reward the kid for getting good grades.

But now, he was stuck with an annoying chimp, who only talked about herself.

The woman finally stopped.

" You haven't touched your steak." She says, raising an eyebrow at his solemn expression.

" You haven't either." He replies. She took one tiny bite out of it, leaving the rest to waste.

He was planning to take his steak home.

" Oh, I have a small stomach. I can't eat much." She laughs.

" That sucks, you're missing out."

Kim Taehyung bows, thanks her for coming and leaves.

I just want to be alone.

Kim Jisoo was the quiet type. She was humble and polite, and only talked when she felt genuinely interested. She runs two restaurants and never really has time for anything else but work. Things changed when her parents told her that she would be getting married.

" I should be the one deciding that for myself. " She told them, but her mother, a closed-minded woman,  replied, " Wrong. I decided that. It's one year. After that,  you can go back to whatever you were doing."

" But-"

" I'm being very lenient. It's just one year. I've never asked much of you."

And their conversation ended there. She moved out of the house and agreed to the marriage after her mother threatened to release a false statement on her restaurants. If she let that happen, she would have to go crawling back to her family, and she would never, not in a million years, let that be the case.

" It's just one year."

Today, she was supposed to meet at his place,

All she knew was that his family had coerced him into this too and that he had a five year old son. She had hoped that his son would never have to choose between his own happiness and his family's and that she could get along with the kid.

The apartment was large and the decorations simple yet elegant.

A chandelier hung from the ceiling in the hallway she walked. The bright, wide windows gave her a view of the city. Her feet made their way into the living room.

There she saw, a little boy, sitting on the couch, crying.

" Are you one of the mean ladies Dad has to talk to?" The boy utters between sniffles and hiccups.

Jisoo's expression softened, " I'm not. I'll be here until your dad comes home and I'll leave after that."

She gives him a smile, walking over to wipe the boy's tears with a napkin.

" It's going to be okay. Did you eat?" She asks him, looking at  the time on her phone.

He shakes his head, hugging her arm.

" I'll make you something in a bit."

" Oh, right, I brought you a present." Jisoo laughs, remembering that she spent hours sewing a cute, brown, bear to give to the boy. She digs through her bag and takes out the bear.

" It's for me?"

" Yeah. Go ahead and give him a name, I made the bear myself." The boy starts to smile, playing with the bear's arms.

" I'll name him later. And thank you miss-"

" Jisoo. Just call me Jisoo."

" Oh, okay.  They always told me to call them miss."

" No, it's okay."

" Dad was supposed to eat cheese corn dog with me today. I got all good grades."

" I'm proud. Good grades means you worked hard, right?"

" Always." The little boy smiles at Jisoo, holding the bear as he walks towards the fridge, " Do you know how to make cheese corn dog?" He asks.

" I do! Do you want to help?" Jisoo asks.

The boy replies with a boxy grin, " Yes please!"

The two make the cheese corn dogs together, one for each of them and an extra for the little boy's father.
