She hugged me so closely, the scent of her hair wafting over my nose. This warmth was unparalleled. Don't cry..Don't cry in front of them both.

I felt two small hands tugging at his sleeve. " I'm sorry Dad." 

" It's okay Joon." I looked up at Jisoo, who was smiling at Joon, a sad look in her eyes.

I don't want her to leave either..

" Could you stay over for tonight?" I asked her, almost pleading. 

" I'd love to." 

With that, she sweeps Joon off his feet and off to the room he and his Dad slept in. 

" You share a room with your dad?"Jisoo asks the young boy, and he nods to her. 

"Can Jisoo sleep here too?" Joon pleads to both of them.

I think about it for a moment, wondering how the arrangement would work. I felt heat creeping up my cheeks. It's just to sleep..nothing else. 

" Jisoo, are you alright with that?" She glances at him, looking at her feet, " I'm okay with that."

Joon is taking his bath while Jisoo makes her way into the master bedroom. 

" It's huge.." She whispers. The windows were wide, with the lights of the city glowing and shimmering below her. She could see the bridge near a river, hundreds of cars, like stars, speeding across the road. 

" The view is nice, right?" Taehyung approaches behind her, with a black shirt and shorts in his hands. 

" Are those for me?" 

" Yeah, it's all that I could find." He shrugs, laughing. 

" Thank you." She gives Taehyung a bright grin, her cheeks becoming red. 

They sat close to each other on the bed in silence for a moment. 

" What was your life like before this?" He asked her, waiting for a reply. 

" It was peaceful. My mother wanted us married for a year to strengthen company bonds. With our incomes, our future is set. She wanted me to have a husband because she's traditional."

She pauses, " But I just wanted to be free on my own. I'm okay with making my own money, but if I don't marry you, I would've been trapped again."

" Oh.." he sighs.

" I know this is a bit of a sensitive topic but, what happened to Joon's mother?" 

" She cheated and neglected Joon often. We got a divorce a few years ago, and after that, she ran off with my savings." 

The silence grew in the room. Taehyung felt his eyes water thinking about those times. Life was cruel and harsh then. His son came home hungry because his mother didn't feed him. But never told him until he collapsed in the hospital. He saw the woman he once loved with another guy who made her happier, and hated that he couldn't do the same, and even more, hated that she couldn't do the same for their son and him too. 

" Are you crying?" Jisoo inches closer to him. She takes a finger to wipe the singer tear that fell down his cheeks.

He realized how different she was from his ex-wife. She showed kindness to him when he needed it and showed unconditional love for his son. 

Her slender arms embraced him closely, head on her shoulder as he tried to stop. 

" I'm sorry. You shouldn't have to see me cry."  he whispers into her ear. 

" I'm sorry I wasn't here to be friends with you sooner." 

The room was lit dimly with moonlight as they hugged. 

Jisoo stood up to take a shower, the door shutting behind her. 

He heard the sounds of water trickle down the drain, in rhythm with the rainfall outside.

" Daddy.." Joon walks to Taehyung, sitting on his lap, " Can Jisoo be my Mommy?" 

He whispered into the kid's ear, " I'll make it happen. Because I want her too."

I wanted this story to be slightly different than other fanfics. Fanfics are so delulu and unrealistic sometimes yk? I wanted something that woulds portray them as more human-like people, with depth and emotions lol. I didn't want some lame self-insert, so this is how my fanfic was created. Hopefully, you'll all stay to the end. I love you!
