( double update ! )

Jisoo was in the car, leaving to the airport.

" Stop the car." She said, tearing up, " Take me back to the apartment."

" No, I can't." The driver said, " Father's orders."

" Please, I forgot my hair clips." She whispered.

" Don't lie to me." The driver says.

" Fine, take me home then." She replies as the car starts again.

" Dad." Jisoo says, eyeing the old man with disgust.

" Jisoo, stop objecting. Just be a good daughter and listen to me."

" Why should I be?" She cries, " After all this time, won't you let me make myself happy?"

" Jisoo, your mother and I want the best for you." He reasons with her, trying to take hold of her hand.

" Then let me make one decision for myself."

One decision.

That's all I ask.

Let me go.

Not just for a while.

Give me the freedom I didn't have as a kid.

After an hour of fighting and arguing, he finally gives up, knowing his daughter well, even though he was only allowed to watch at a distance. She was persistent.

She knew what she wanted, and when she wanted something badly enough, she would never give up.

" It's not like I can stop you Jisoo.." He mutters, standing up walking to an old box.

" These earrings, guess the price?" He holds up gorgeous, pearl earrings, beautifully crafted.

" 4 million won?"

" 10 million," He huffs, " Worn at a queen's self-appointed coronation."

" And what about it?" She has her purse in her hands, shoes on, ready to leave.

" Take them with you at least," He says, " I've been an awful father all this time."

Jisoo gives her father a hug, opens the door, steps out, and leaves.

A decision she will never forget.

Not again will I let anyone tell me how to live.
