It was only a matter of time before police swarmed the property, the victims of one Randy Meeks lying in wait. Two in the basement. Two that've been maimed beyond recognition, the concrete beneath their rope-bound feet slick with blood and urine, one having had an accident during their ordeal -- ... um.

             Randy... what did you do?

Randy... why did you do it?

             Randy... you did do it.

Bowie knife in hand, the figure slid it into the pocket of her robe as she took one last look around the basement, her gaze as sharp as the weapon in hand, sharp enough to cut the mesh that hid her two brown eyes from the eorld. 15 1/2 minutes. 15 1/2 minutes. It... took... 15 1/2 minutes. 15 1/2 minutes. Hm; not bad, given it had been awhile.

Everything isn't A-OK. Clad in only a pair of boxers, Billy paced at the foot of the bed, a nervous wreck and a half. Why? Oh... here's why: Sidney wouldn't get off Billy's case! It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Billy kept Sidney at an arm's length at all times, despite them having been dating for over a year, but why? Sidney would loveeee to know and was determined to get answers.

                 "In your dreams, Bitch!"

Everything isn't A-OK. Clad in a pink nightgown, Sidney sat at the foot of the bed, her mind racing. Why? Oh... here's why: Billy was acting kind of... strange. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Billy kept Sidney at an arm's length at alltimes, despite them having been dating for over a year, but why?

Everything isn't A-OK. Clad in a pair of boxers and a plain, white tee, Roman leaned back against the headboard, his mind racing. Why? Oh... here's why: His father was in town. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Roman wasn't a fan of his father, especially after uncovering the truth. Hm. No.

Everything isn't A-OK. Clad in only, only a pair of boxers, Billy paced at the foot of the bed, a nervous wreck and a half. Why? Oh... here's why: Reese hadn't come home. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Billy kept Reese as close to his heart as close could be, despite them having had to pretend to be nothing more than friends for over a year.

                     "Please... be alright."

                      *               *             *

The sound of the bedroom door being eased open prompted Billy's head to snap up, his eyes red from kinda maybe sorta crying a bit only minutes prior -- it hasn't even been an hour, Dude. -- and his hair disheleved from his constant running his hands through it; the shadow in the doorway froze for a second, seemingly as if to assess the situation. Oh. The shadow reached for the switch and flicked the lights on... revealing one exhausted Reese.

                         "Hi."

                          "... H -- where were you?"

"Cops blocked the road, so I had to take a detour. Why?"

                          "Because."

                          "Because?"

                          "Because."

Ignoring the look on Reese's face that screamed "WTF," Billy abandoned his post at the foot of the bed and, in one swift motion, lunged towards Reese, engulfed her in a bear hug, and smashed his lips against hers without warning! <I,> Reese froze. <was only gone for 45 minutes?> It wasn't like Reese was complaining or anything, but damn. It was only 45 minutes. 45 minutes. It was only 45 minutes. Hm... Billy must've had another episode -- what would've caused an episode, though?

Reese ended up breaking the kiss and asked Billy, but didn't expect an answer, given how he had reacted to being asked, earlier; Billy could either be an open book or a safe. There was no in-between. Billy... didn't answer. Figures. Fucking figures. <What's gotten into you?> Reese continued to stare deep, deep into Billy's eyes, Her own flashing with a mixture of fear and concern -- speak, damnit! Instead of answering, Billy tightened His grip and let out a sigh, running His fingers through Reese's hair, trying to calm down.

                                Calm.

                                 Calm.

                                  Calm.

Calm. Calm. Calm. Calm. Calm. Calm. Calm.

                                   Calm.

                                  Calm.

                                 Calm.

Reese shoved Billy backwards onto the bed, the latter letting out a grunt as he collided with the mattress and the former letting out a small, small scream as she collided with Billy! <Um.> Silence. <Um.> That got Billy's attention, arrrright. <Um.> Situated, Reese snuggled up to Billy and let out a sigh of content; yeah... though Billy wouldn't admit it, he loved a good cuddle from time to time. Speaking of The Devil, Billy pulled Reese a bit closer -- was this even possible? --, closed his eyes, and just... listened.

                                   "I'm here. I'm right here."

That did it; time for the waterworks. Tears streamed down Billy's face, following the paths left behind by their predecessors, prompting Reese to hug Billy a little closer, a little tighter, as she whispered to him, reminding him that he wasn't alone; Billy... couldn't help but to wonder what he did to even come close to deserving Reese. Silence. Silence. Silence. Body quaking with every sob, every gasp and heave, Billy let it all out, not giving a damn if Roman could hear him -- I doubt Roman would talk trash; Roman has had a moment or two like this, just crying it out.

It didn't take long for the otherwise deafening nightly, screaming of the cicadas outside the window to be swallowed up by Billy's cries, followed close behind by Reese's whispers. He couldn't help It. I mean... yeah. He wouldn't dare show this side of himself to anyone aside from Reese and Roman, though, but namely Reese. There was just so much on his plate! So fucking much! Despite this, Billy was determined to push on, to finish what they had started... at whatever the cost.

Randy was at a loss for words -- Dewey and the remainder of the department, on the other hand, were far from it... despite the shock of the scene before them.

                                      "Meeks!?"
