Chapter 2- my last day

~Jessie's Dream~

There's blood everywhere... "Jessie! Help!" I'm back in my house, I walk down the steps slowly and see my mother, there's a man behind her. "Mommy why is that man biting your neck?" I look loser and I see blood running down her arm. The man behind my mother looks at me, his eyes are blood red and his mouth is covered with my mother's blood. "Mommy!" I run towards her but then man stops me and bites into my neck. "Mommy!"

"Jessie get up its time for school." Ugh, I slide from bed slowly, this cast doesn't help much. I slide on my jeans and star wars shirt and slowly walk down the hard wooden steps. My cast makes the loudest sound when I'm walking. I'm not using my god forsaken crutches, I’d rather not walk around like an innocent child. I reach the first floor and walk down the long hallway with all my cousins' pictures. My cousin Maya died when I was nine, the same year my parents died.  She died the same way to, lying in her own blood, with her neck cut. I remember how she wanted her funeral to be pink.  When me and my parents walked into the funeral home her casket was a light pink, her dress was a strapless cut that had a flower on the shoulder and was an earth pink color. It was kind of like what you would see on one of the Barbie movies. That day I wore a dark pink dress with black stripes that went across my dress and met at a black bow in the back. Everyone cried, but me. I couldn't cry and now that I look back at it, I'm glad I didn't, for that was the happiest day I had from that point on.

I shake my head and walk into the kitchen. I grab a fruit bar and head out the door. Today is my last day of normal person school; I’m going to try to make the best of it. As the bus pulls up to my house I start dreading the day. I feel people looking at me and then at my leg as slowly make my way to the back of the bus. The rides slow, and lonely, my music blasts into my ear through my headphones. I don't even notice when my best friend Amanda sits next to me. I feel a sharp pain in my ear and I look over to Amanda holding my headphone in her hand.

"What the hell woman! Are you trying to kill me! Damn!"  I see everyone turning and looking at me as I yell.

"Oh get over it. You'll live." I shoot her a dark glare and she smiles at me.

"Fine." I cross my arms and look at her. "Today's my last day here. I'm packing for my new school tomorrow." I look at the ground as I say this.

"Just don't forget me ok?" I look up at her and give her a huge hug.

"I could never forget you." For the first time in a long time I feel tears swelling up in my eyes.

The bus pulls up to our school and we all file out. I see the jocks throwing there damn football like they do every day. I see the druggies in the back doing pot, and I see the sluts of the school sucking face. I'm really going to miss this place.  With a sigh I walk into the front doors of my school and look around. I walk to my locker and put everything into my bag. The day goes by slow, and I savor every bit of it. This was where I was happy, now I'm going to leave it... all because my stupid uptight aunt thinks she knows what's best for me...
