The concept of time is one of severe complexity.

When Cassie took this job she expected the days to drag on like a school assembly, but now it was nearly two months until they were done and it felt like it all went by in a blink of an eye.

She rushed around the writing room collecting the notes and pieces of work that scattered across the table, brown hair twisted up into a bun, disheveled black shirt and brown trousers, though she looked smart she felt stupid.

"You really think writers would be more careful." Shailene laughed looking at the mess they had left.

"Writers are the messiest people I've met, learnt that from Leo." Cassie shook her head with a laugh stacking up the work, thinking with the mess Leo left after a writing session.

"Have you met Logan?" Shai joked rolling her eyes, being friends with Logan meant having to pick up after someone like they are a child.

"Unfortunately." Cassie laugh thinking about the messes Logan left everywhere he went.

"You and Leo doing anything tonight?" The brunette woman asked about her plans, she could tell Cass was preoccupied with busy thoughts, she needed fun.

"No he's got a late writing thing." Cassie explained her boyfriends unavailability.

"Do you want to come to our hotel?" She suggested not wanting her to be alone.

"No I've got paperwork to send to the team in France, thank you though." She smiled before following her out of the room, paperwork in hand.

Matthew laid in his bed, the only source of light being the warm shine from the reading lamp that stood on the spruce bedside table.

His long nimble fingers scanning over the words of The Last Child by John Hart, one of Cassies recommendations, the sound of an old wooden clock ticking in the background as he went.

Laughter and the sound of feet rushing up the stairs interrupted his silence, he pushed up his glasses, closing his book, placing it on the bed, quickly getting up and opening the door.

Matthew laughed walking into the kitchen, happy to hear Leo and her were having fun, she had been so stressed recently with getting ready for the transition.

"Oh I'm sorry! Was just getting a drink." A voice appeared from behind him.

Matthew turned confused at the sound he was hearing, it wasn't Cassie.
