The letters flew back and forth for the next few months, Cassie almost burst with excitement every time they arrived. Everything about them was prefect, the way he wrote her name on the front page, how her crossed his t's and dotted his i's, his inability to spell 'probably'.And he felt the same, every week he would get one more book recommendation, a new magnet for his fridge when she went to a new city and how she always crossed out his last name at least once a month, constantly forgetting that it was 'Gray' not 'Grey'.
"Another letter from Miss Noble?" Logan appeared over his shoulder as Matthew sat in the green room with a geeky grin, just trying to catch a peak of their conversations.
"Yeah she got a promotion, new office, new shoes." He laughed explaining to his friend shaking off her new accomplishments that he also wore with pride.
"She never stops working does she?" He sighed crashing on the other sofa, her workaholic spirit able to outrun all of them.
"I've been challenging her to watch at least one new film a week" Matthew confined as he spoke of his attempts to get her to rest but it would simply become another challenge for her to complete and rate.
"What is it this time?" Logan asked intrigued by this new form of bonding, ready to give his thoughts on what films she should watch.
"The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and I've got to read Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult." Matthew sighed smiling as he explained his current assignment to read one of her favorite authors.
"Does she make you write a book report too?" He joked back laughing at the brunette.
"Yes actually, I have to give a brief review and rating." He stated proudly, he loved writing them, made him feel like they were talking in person all over again.
"God you are whipped!" Logan was shocked, Matthew had become a complete love bug, his stone cold exterior had started to melt.
"I am not!"
"You want to invite her to the premiere don't you." Logan looked at him with a raised brow, sipping on his drink.
"Shut up." He brushed it off, trying to change the subject.
But it was true, he wanted to invite her, have an excuse to see her again. His manager had been asking if he was going stag or if he was going to invite a date and he'd been mulling over it for weeks, what if she said no?
What if she didn't want to seen him again, that these letters just feel like chores to her and she just wanted to leave him in the past?
What if she had grown tired of him?
"Do it, you'll regret it if you don't." Logan stated finally before leaving him be,
but he was right, he would.
