"Kai, sweetie."

My eyes flutter open as I hear someone saying my name. I come face to face with someone's chest, I realise I'm still being lifted by the scary boy. Although I don't think he's that scary anymore.

I pat the boy slightly on the chest and he puts me down, I turn around and see the man and woman from this morning standing before me. They both look at me with worried eyes.

"Is there something wrong?"

I look at them with questionable eyes and a slight tilted head.

"Oh sweetie, let mama give you a hug."

The woman crouches down to make it possible for me to give her a hug. I look at her with big eyes, and walk towards her. I give her a big hug, even though I am confused as hell.

"Why did you call yourself mama?"

She suddenly starts shaking, and I hear sobs leaving her.

"I-I'm your mama sweetie."

So this woman is my mother, than that means that brown haired man is my father. So than..

"You are my older brother..?"

I point at the formerly scary boy, he nods as an answer to my question.

"W-what's your name?"

I ask him, he gives me a sad smile.

"Alexander, but you can call me Alex."

I notice that his demeanour has changed drastically in comparison with his behaviour from earlier this day. I wonder why?

I smile at him and he gives me a small smile back. When I hear voices coming from behind the double door on my left I look around the room I am in right now.

It looks like some kind of private office, based on the dark wooden desk littered with papers. Currently I'm still sitting in the embrace of my mother right in front of this very desk, even though there seems to be a very comfortable looking couch on the left against the wall.

I try to lift my head to talk to my mother, but her hold on my head is too strong. Before I can try to catch her attention, I hear a the double doors opening.

"Layna, please let him go. Cidels is here for him."

I can feel my mother's hold loosening after she gave out a sigh, I can finally lift my head up to inspect the two new persons in the room. One of them is my mother's husband, so probably my father, the other person is someone I don't recognize.

"Kai, this is Cidels"

My father gives a slight nod towards the  othet man who is probably already past his sixties.

"He is our doctor, he will take a look at your health."

I slowly nod my head and soon after I am lifted on the comfortable couch by Alex. Why would he want to lift me again, I didn't even ask him. I didn't mind it though, walking takes too much effort.

Cidels starts with asking me questions about who I am, who my family is, what year it is, and a lot more. I could only answer a few questions because I lack a lot of information about this world, why do I need that system anyway. I haven't heard of him all day and I am still very much alive.

"He has severe amnesia."

The words spoken by Cidels interrupt my thoughts.

"I am not certain if his highness will be able to recover his old memories, only time will tell. It's important to not let him stress too much, and to give him time to adapt to his new surroundings."

My parents and older brother both nod at the explanation of Cidels and afterwards my father takes him back out the room.

As soon as the doors close behind them my mother walks towards the couch in a fast pace and engulfs me in a hug once again.

"Sweetie, sweetie it'll be alright. Mama will make sure you'll get all better."

Soft sniffles leave her as she continues holding me. I try to comfort her by patting her back, but it only makes her sniffles turn into sobs.

Not knowing what will help to let her stop crying, I just let her hold me. After a few minutes Alex walks towards us.

"I think you should take rest now mother, you're probably really tired by the events of today."

She nods her head and loosens her hold on me. She kisses my nose, which makes me scrunch up my face. She gives me a small smile and leaves the room afterwards.

I let out a small yawn as soon as my mama leaves, I didn't realise I was this tired.

"You should also go to bed, I'll take you to your room."

Alex offers me his hand, but instead of taking it I make grabby hands to let him know I want to be picked up.

He smiles and shakes his head, but he still complies and takes me into his arms. I wrap my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist.

We walk for awhile and soon arrive at the room I woke up this morning, Alex puts me down on the bed and runs his hand through my slightly tousled hair.

He gives me a small smile and he stands up to leave, but before he can go I grab his sleeve.

"Please stay here for tonight, I don't want to sleep alone."

I pout at the thought of having to sleep alone in such a big room. Alex looks surprised at my words but still complies and he lays down beside me.

"Goodnight little brother."

"Goodnight."

And just like that my eyes close, and my mind shuts down.

Just as I promised

I was wondering if there is anything you guys as readers would like to happen in this story. I do have the main parts of this story planned out, but there is still room for other things to happen. So please share your ideas!!!

I'm not sure when I'll post another chapter, but probably some time soon. 'Cause I feel really pumped about this story rn.

And I just want to remind you guys that English isn't my first language and I'd like to learn from my mistakes, so please tell me if there is any spelling are grammar mistake.
