"Come on, Joyce!" The shout of my best friend Marlou scares me the most, as he runs after me, ended with him blocking my way through his cuddles.

The time was ticking fast, as I run through the hallway of the school after our stressful school day. I and him are really close friends, and cuddles are our power to make sure we're still sticking together.

Whenever we see each other, we cuddle, almost lie on our backs and tickle ourselves. The closeness of us results to us being accused for being a "couple" and most of all, I and him are considered to be the "most childish student" of our school.

Despite having our acts like this, we're still mature and adults, right. It's pretty normal to us acting like this. Because of him, I motivated more on our everyday routine. We may be just kind of roommates, but we do sleep on separate beds!

One day, as I saw him, he never did cuddling me. He seems sad, so before I ask him, I hugged him tight and kissed his temple before I brought him to our dorm and asked,

"Best... What's wrong?" I asked him.

"It's just... I can't just say that I'm alright..."

"Best... You can't just say that," I said. "You're alright, okay?"

"Yeah," he said. "Can I do this...?" he held my face into his and our lips meet. I kissed back with no hesitation.

I know in myself that I have a crush on him. Being one of his friends means a lot to me. I have my own privilege to be his since we're close, but I won't force myself into a relationship yet. A certain voice in my mind told me to stay friends.

When we pulled away, he suddenly hugged me.

"Thanks for confronting me all these years," I felt a tear coming from his eyes, reaching and dropping in my shoulder.

"As always," I kissed his nose, and putting a smile om my face as I pulled away.

"There's... Something I need to ask," he said.

"What is it?"

"Joyce... I really dream of it," he said. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

"No... I won't," I fakely sobs. "Just kidding, yes!"
