The contest started and Joyce left the school.

She was pretty worried of her best friend acting strange. She had to confess what she really feel to her best friend.

Maybe...

She's now standing in front of the fridge, and she opened a bottle of water and splashed it in her face afterwards. She shaked her head.

No, he doesn't have feelings for me. No way it can be real.

Joyce thought that Marlou's little 'affection' proves nothing but a love to a best friend. Though these two were already best friends from their childhood days, there's possibility that their actions coincides from each other through showing it.

There's no way that Joyce could deny it. Since they move in, Marlou was planning to court her if he wins the art contest.

If he didn't plan this, then they shouldn't be sharing a house together.

That was Marlou's thoughts when he finished his work. Now, he stayed frozen until he waits for the result. Maybe this time, he will court to her and be his forever. Not living as friends, but something higher, and that's what he wanted.

This... has been strange for both of them. When Marlou asked Joyce to move in with him, he slowly gathered feelings for her. So as Joyce in her side. She must admit her feelings to Marlou before either her or him find another one.

Her thoughts were suddenly banished by none other than, her best friend, Jaiden.

"Joyce! What's up?" the cheerful voice asked.

"I'm okay, I guess?"

"Woah, what's wrong?" she asked.

"We need to talk about Marlou. Look, I still have the butterflies in my stomach when he kissed me–"

"He kissed you?!" Jaiden yells. "Oh my gosh, Joyce! Are you and Marlou a couple?"

"We aren't, but I'm planning to tell my feelings to him. I badly wanted him so much that my heart is being impatient."

"How long have you felt this for Marlou along?" asked Jaiden, who was curious on her best friend.

"Since the day I moved in with him," she sighs.

"Perhaps, Marlou does felt the same way that you did, Joyce. Follow your heart, and let the heart give up its feelings to him. Wish you guys are together. I shipped you for so long!" she squealed.

"Thanks, Jaiden, great help!"

A few minutes after Jaiden called her, she suddenly received a text from her best friend, none other than the one who she grew feelings for–Marlou.

Meet me right now. I have some good news for you. xx

She texted him back when...

See you xx

As she arrives at the school, she was dumbfounded when she found nothing but a car.

"Excuse me, are you Joyce?" a stranger asked.

"Maybe?" she answered.

"Boys, you know what to do."

"What are you doi–" but before she can protest, she was brought in a car.

When Joyce, those strangers, and the car reached the fancy destination, she went down and ran nowhere but the door designed in some ball lights. She was looking around until her eyes landed on none other than her best friend bringing flowers and chocolates. How in the world is he hiding flowers from her?

She can't believe that once she received the flowers and chocolates from her best friend, Marlou, the one she'd dreamed of, kneels in front of her.

"Joyce," he spoke while she was walking closer to him. "I know we may have different points of view but I just have a courage to share you what I feel for you. I... I wanted this to happen because... I wanted this day, the day where I win, dedicates for both of us. And I wanted to tell you that... I love you."

"Y-you... love me?" tears starts to shallow through her cheeks and touched him.

"Yes, Joyce," he said. "I regret this– I regret what we became."

"I love you too." she whispered, wrapping her best friend in a hug. "I love you so much, Marlou. You have no idea." then pulled away.

"I... don't exactly what to say, but events beforehand are proofs enough to prove to the world that I love you."

"I just don't understand what you felt, but now, I want to be with you so bad." she blushes and step closer as she wrapped him in a tight hug, as she wanted, she buries herself in the crook of his neck.

"I can finally call you mine, Joyce," he pulled away, tears staining his chest and he wiped it. "Because from this day, you're mine and mine forever.

Their lips finally connected. With mixed tears and emotions, they slowly pulled away when they tell each other the syllables they won't regret.

"I love you."
