Chapter 23

Tuesday Night Taping for Smackdown

The guys and I made our entrance, pretending to be upset because the Wyatt's costed my bros chance to be in Elimination Chamber. When we got into the ring, I leaned against the ropes, like AJ would, while the boys walked in circles, and Ambrose had a mic in his hand.

"The Elimination Chamber is a structure and a match custom made for The Shield, so make no mistake about it the stakes on Monday Night couldn't have been any higher! Because The Universe knows, The Authority knows, and Randy Orton knows that if The Shield was unleashed inside that Chamber one of us would've walked out WWE World Heavyweight Champion!"

Dean looked at Roman because he started smiling and nodding, and I knew what this would turn to.

"Oh, what you think it would've been you?" He asked.

"I don't think so Dean, I know so!" Roman answered.

"Oh you think just because you set some record for eliminations for the Royal Rumble you would've walked out the Elimination Chamber champion? I don't think that... I don't think that at all bro. Hey and you know what? I don't apologize for trying to throw you out of the Rumble."  Dean said back.

"Well I don't apologize for throwing you out of the Rumble, it was every man for himself so stop complaining!" Roman said.

"That's cute. That's really cute! Hey next time maybe I won't sneak up from behind ya huh? Maybe next time I'll just do it right to your face!" Dean said.

"Like this?" Roman looked away for a moment and looked straight back at Dean's face like they were about to fight. I quickly got on my two feet to break them up, but luckily Seth got in between.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Listen! Listen to me! Enough! Enough! Enough of this petty crap alright! We're The Shield! We are the most dominant force in the history of this company! This is our yard and we have intruders!" He paused. "We're talking about: Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Bray Wyatt: The Wyatt Family!" People started booing from just hearing their name.

I stopped Dean from walking around the ring and told him to focus.

Seth continued. "And they are the reason that we are not in that Elimination Chamber match! And I don't why they did what they did on Monday... and frankly I don't care. But I know is that they must be dealt with!"

He paused again.

"Hey, Ambrose you listen to me! You are the greatest United States Champion I've ever seen! No one even has the guts to challenge you for that belt! And Roman..." Seth turned to face him. "...You've been spearing people since Day 1! You had John Cena's hands completely drawn apart right before they screwed us! We had em! We were this close!" Than Dean took the mic.

"If the Wyatt's want a new world!? We'll give them a new world, if The Shield isn't going to win the World Heavyweight Championship in Elimination Chamber, we'll do next best thing. Do the next best thing and we'll wipe The Wyatt Family off the face of the earth! And Wyatts consider that a challenge!"

We all nodded and started walking around the ring when suddenly we hear Vickie Gurrero's voice. 

"Excuse me!" The Universe started booing again. "Excuse me! EXCUSE ME! Gentlemen and lady, that's a brilliant idea! That's a match that no one ever dreamed would happen! So as the General Manager of Smackdown, I'm going to make history!" She said and than Triple H's/Hunter's music started.

He took Vickie's mic and walked down the ramp and into the ring.

"I understand where you're coming from and I get it, okay? The Wyatts cost you guys an opportunity to be in the Elimination Chamber, the Wyatts effectivley cost one of you the opportunity to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. But here's the thing guys, it's water under the bridge alright, let it go. Let it go. Trust me on this, ther's no profit in it. There is nothing to benefit. There's nothing to game, okay?" Triple H said. "Wrong place, wrong time, bad situation. But all there is in this is loss. All there is in this is more problems. Just let it go, alright?" He said and looked at all of us.

"Hunter, with all due respect, you've got to look at this from our prespective-" Seth started.

"With all due respect Seth." Triple H inturupted. "I've looked at it from your point of view. With all due respect, it wasn't a request." Dean lost it and screamed loud and looked away, walking around the ring angry and Triple H continued. "I'm telling you...let it go." I looked down for a moment and walked up straight to Hunter's face.

"I don't think you understand Hunter." I said. "We're not asking for your approval." People screamed with glee from the words that came out of my mouth. Hunter and I had a staredown and he talked again.

 "Alright, can see by the look in your eyes there's no talking you out of it, I guess right?" He said, smiling. "That's the way it's gonna be? If this fight is gonna go down no matter what? Then I might as well profit from it. This what you want?" Hunter asked looking at all four of us. "Is this what you want?" He asked the WWE Universe and they screamed in agreement. "You wanna see The Wyatt's and The Shield go at it?" They screamed again. "Then I'll do what's best for business. At the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View... it will be all four members of The Shield against all three members of The Wyatt Familly in a 4-on-3 Handicap match." We all smiled with satisfaction. "Hope you guys know what you're doing." Hunter finished and his music played.

We all looked at each other and celebrated the match we'd be in at Elimination Chamber.

I knew we were all ready for one of the biggest matches of our lives, you could bet on it!
