KAMARI

Chapter Nine

"Hurry up Kamari, we will miss our flight" Loren said as she entered the car. Loren was now engaged to the love of her life. Despite what happened to her friend Kamari, she believed good men still existed. Gave herself many chances to love and after several heart breaks, she had finally found her soulmate. They later decided to take their relationship to another level when he asked her hand in marriage during a family occasion.
"Give her sometime Loren, it's the first time she'll be spending a day without seeing her son. It's still 8:00pm by the way and our flight is at 11:00pm" Bernice who was  already seated in the car said.
"Mummy please take care of him for me" Kamari told her mum who had her 2years old son in her arms.
She held her son's jaws and kissed him all over the face. A little tear dropped from her left eye.
"Don't bother yourself my princess, I'll take good care of him. We will spoil your trip with frequent video calls so you don't miss him too much." Mrs Daniela said wiping off her daughter's tears.
"What should I keep for you my sweet boy?" Kamari asked her son
"Candiessssss!!!" The little boy said in an enthusiastic way. That was one of the few words he could say.
"Okay my boy I'll bring you a lot of candy when coming back. I love you soo much" Kamari replied.
She wanted to say something again but was stopped by her mum.
"Your friends are waiting for you Kam, you should go now. We will miss you too. Have fun" with that she kissed her daughter goodbye.
Kamari waved her mum and son good bye until the car took off and they were no longer in sight.
"It's been long we went on a girl's trip. This is going to be fun" Bernice said.
Bernice had developed hatred for men unlike Loren after what happened to Kamari and given the numerous heart breaks she had had with men. She had done artificial insemination saying being a single mum had never killed anyone so she was not going to be the first. She had left her 1year old daughter with her kid sister before going on the trip with her friends.
The girls had decided to go on a girls trip to Perfect day Cococay, Royal Caribbeans
"I can't wait to experience their seven-night thrill-a-thon ships" Bernice said as they arrived the airport.
"I heard the chicken wings with dipping sauces at captain Jack's  are heavenly I think I'll be spending most of my time there" Loren said with a dreamy smile.
"Or at Skippers Grill eating barbecue chicken or tacos, or the beach side barbecue at Chill Grill!! Uuuuhhh, I think I'll have a problem of choice" Loren added.
"Yes foodie you sure will" Kamari joked and the three girls laughed.
"It's the picture perfect beach for me" Kamari said  with ear to ear smile.
"I just can't wait to be there." Bernice said.
After months of planning and choosing ideal trip destinations, the girls had finally decided to choose Perfect day Cococay for their vacation.
The flight departure was finally announced and the three girls leaped with joy like primary school pupils leaping to the end of classes bell.
As they walked towards the plane, Kamari said
"Cheers to two months of pure bliss and a better life afterwards"
