Valtteri Bottas, born August 28 1989 under the Virgo season, is probably the second most calm driver in the paddock. Maybe it's because he's finnish, but he doesn't seem like someone, who talks that much. In general, he seems to have a very calm aura. He speaks very calmly and even when he's celebrating, he is relatively calm compared to other drivers like Vettel or Ricciardo. Obviously he is happy and does celebrate, but you don't hear him scream that loud like other drivers.

With Lewis Hamilton as your teammate, you must work hard! Virgos are very hardworking individuals and so is Valtteri. If you follow Valtteri on Instagram and watch his Insta-Stories, you see a lot of him cycling with his girlfriend and in general training very hard. He's also working very hard to get closer to Lewis and even beat him. Since last year, he's super strong in Qualifying, which used to be Lewis' territory. He managed to outqualify Hamilton for several times and was or is still proving that he can challenge Hamilton more than ever. Through hard work, he also maintained his cockpit at mercedes and once again his contract had been extended for another year.

Another good quality of Bottas is being reliable for the team. Even though he had to hear "Valtteri it's James" a few times (and that always meant bad news for him) he obeyed and followed the instructions. He could've easily said no or just not obey, yet he decided to follow the instructions. With that, he probably gained even more respect from his team and specially from his Team principal Toto Wolff. Sochi 2018 was unfortunately the most extreme one. While he was leading in front of Lewis and Sebastian, he was told to let Lewis by. With no victories in that season this was finally his chance to win, but Bottas was once again a team player and gave up his chance to win. That was probably the most controversial moment of the season and cost Bottas his only chance to win that season. Also, in the German Grand Prix 2018 Valtteri was told to hold positions, because Mercedes wanted to secure a 1-2 for the team and Bottas followed the instruction again. However, Bottas recovered from that season and came back even stronger (Bottas 2.0). He immediately won the first race and since then, brought regularly good results for him and the team and won three times in the 2019 season. What is also important is that the team knows that he is reliable and therefore keeps him as a driver.

Probably the most significant trait of a virgo is being a perfectionist and that's what I've noticed on Valtteri Bottas as well

Probably the most significant trait of a virgo is being a perfectionist and that's what I've noticed on Valtteri Bottas as well. I guess every driver is somehow a perfectionist, but Bottas strive for perfection is very visible. For example, he stepped up his qualifying game a lot since last year, knowing well that Lewis is very strong in Qualifying. It's clear how he is pushing for the perfect lap and when he gets it, he is very satisfied. Sometimes, when he even gets pole he still claims that there were slight mistakes and that the lap wasn't perfect. When he or the team makes a (slight) mistake he gets very disappointed, which is typical for a virgo.

When mistakes happen, the perfectionist side of him comes out and he gets quite analytical. Like in the recent races e.g. the 70th Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Hungarian Grand Prix, a few mistakes happened from his side and the teams side. When he was getting interviewed, you could sense how he was already thinking about it and was starting to analize it during the interview.

One of the negative traits that a Virgo has, is being cold. I don't know if it's, because Bottas is finnish ;-) or if this is just his character, but that trait seem to fit for Valtteri as well. Sometimes he seems a bit cold, but I think since he is with mercedes, he opened up a bit more.

What might be a slight disadvantage is his shyness/timidity. Ofcourse I don't have any insights, but for me it seems like Bottas is less influential (in the Team) then his teammate Lewis for example. Specially in the 2017 and 2018 season, it felt like he accepted certain things that gave him a disadvantage, so he could avoid any confrontations.

Scepticism is another negative trait for a virgo that I have noticed that on Bottas sometimes. In the Hungarian Grand Prix 2017, the two Mercedes drivers were stuck behind the two Ferrari drivers. Hamilton was behind Bottas, but felt that he was quicker and could attack the Ferraris in front. He asked the team, if they could swap positions and if he couldn't overtake the Ferraris, he would give the position back to Bottas. When they swapped positions, Valtteri was understandebly sceptical, if Lewis would give him the position back. After Lewis failed to overtake the Ferraris, he slowed down in the last corner of the last lap and gave Bottas the position and the podium back. Another example was in the Chinese Grand Prix 2019, when the team decided to pit both drivers and double-stack. You could clearly hear over the team radio, how skeptical Bottas was, while saying "don't make me lose time then".

How would Valtteri Bottas be in a relationship?

If Valtteri Bottas portrays the typical virgo, he would be very judgmental and picky at first and also very slow at falling in love. However, when he finds the right one, he would be very loving and kind towards you. Valtteri would take some time to trust you and fully open up, but once he lets you in his world, he would be very loyal and passionate. Virgos are not true romantics, but they have a mysterious aura and so would Bottas have. He takes his feelings seriously and expects the same from you. Valtteri would expect understanding, kindness and a consideraton in romantic relationships and as well as faithfulness and honesty from you. The key in a succesful relationship with Valtteri would be discretion. Since your special for him, he would show the emotional and sensitive side of him that no one else would see. But if you would betray him that would be a devastating experience for him and it won't be sure, if he forgives you.
