Nandini's Pov

"Nandini let's go to canteen and have something" Manik said

" You haven't eaten since last night" He said.

"No Manik ,I don't feel like" I said looking down.

"Nandini ,Now Amms is fine so you can have it" He said.

Yes Amms is okay but another tension was running in my mind.
I have to pay Hospital Bills
How will arrange so much money?Should I go for a job? But what job?

I was lost into my thoughts then he snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"What are you thinking Nandini?" He asked.

"Nothing,Let's go " He said holding my hand.

We went to canteen but I was silent.

I was Just thinking about hospital bills,
I was so happy but on other side I was thinking about bills.

I wanted morning to come up so early but on the other hand I dint want due to money.

"Manik Thank you so much for all things you have done" I said after a while.

"Are you crazy girl?" He said mocking at me.

"Why?" I asked.

"Amms is also my grandmother,So why are you saying thank you to me?" He said.

"Yeah but still Manik" I again said.

"Nandini if you are done with your thank you speech ,We should focus on food,I am starving" He said lighting the environment.

"Yeah sure" I said.

We took dinner and waited on the bench outside the Amms room.

I was relaxed but I couldn't sleep.
I wont be able untill I talk to her.

We kept talking till late night and don't know when we both fell asleep on the bench only.

I got up at 6Am, Manik also got up with me.

We were not allowed because staff and doctors were not there till now.

They will reach at 8Am so we can meet her then only.

After 2 Hour

It was 8Am, Doctor and staff came, I was not ready to even 1 minute now.
One minute was passing like year for me,
Finally after completing some formalities and rountine check up at 8.15 doctor allowed us to meet Amms.

I rushed towards room as soon as doctor gave his nod, I entered into room in a jiffy,

Amms was lying with eyes open and watching at the door , Waiting for me ,I entered and just hugged her so tightly and started crying.
Manik was behind me,He was standing silent and looking at us.

"Amms thanks to Aiyappa ,You are okay" I sais breaking the hug.

"Amms namaste ,How are you feeling now?" Manik asked in clam voice.

She tried to get up from her position but I and Manik asked her to stay in the same position.

She was doing so because Manik is her son-in-law  and according to Amms you can't be lying in front of him to show respect towards him but it was other circumstances so I dint let her do what she wanted.

Manik does not believe in such kind of things either.

Amms I was Very scared ,I am so happy that you are fine,I was crying also.

I and Amms continued while Manik went outside for something.

After some times Mom and Mukti also arrived at hospital, Probably Manik informed them.

Doctor told us that Amms would be discharged in 2 days but she has to come for regular checkup in 15 days for next 2 months, Moreover she needs proper care and rest.

Meanwhile I was also thinking about money ,Mom and Mukti came to meet her 3-4 times in a day
I and Manik were staying at hospital only.

I and Amms were sitting ,Then Amms said

"Nandu I have some money ,Ask venkatesh ,He will transfer in your account"

"Why Amms?" I said

"Hospital Bill" She said

"Amms you don't worry,I will pay the bills" I said

"No Nandu,I will pay my bills,I know I dont have that much money right now but I will ask Venkatesh to sell the house of Manglore". She said shocking me

"Amms I am your granddaughter,What are you saying ,You dont worry " I said

"How will you arrange money ,I don't want to take it from you,You are married girl now" She said

"This is not fair Amms" I said

But she was correct also,How will I arrange such a huge amount and that too so quickly.

I called up some companies for job ,Also asked for some loan but all in vain.

I was really worried how to pay the bills.

"Should I take a loan from Manik?" I asked to myself.

"No no Nandu ,I should sell my jewelry which Amms gave me at my wedding" I said to myself.

Although it's very precious as Amms gave me but it's for her only.

I went home by making some excuse and bought my jewelry, It was Costing me around 20Lakhs.

Hospital Bill was 25lakhs so I was still not able to figure out how to arrange 5 lakhs.

I thought I would request hospital to give me some time so that I can pay them letter.

Final the day came ,All the formalities were done ,Then finally I went to cash counter.

"Hello Sudha Murthy Discharge paper and bills" I said

"Ma'am everything is done for her,Now you are here for?" The lady said at the cash counter.

"I am here to pay the bill" I said

"But ma'am it's already been paid" She said

"What,Who paid the bill?" I asked

"Manik Malhotra" She said

I left from there and went to Amms room.

Manik was packing her stuff ,Then I entered.

It was not right time to ask.
"Nandini where were you?" Manik asked.

"I went to washroom" I said making excuse.

"Okay it's time to leave , Everything done" He said.

Amms was looking a bit hesitant and I know the reason but right now I can't do anything about it.

We all left for the home, Mom welcomed Amms in a very good manner.

Mom and Mukti was at home for Amms
Welcome.

We all settled down, Amms was shifted to a room at downstairs only so that she does not need to walk up and down again and again.

Finally I and Manik was in our room.
