Laughter scatter across the dinner table following by the sound of silverware tapping on a glass transparent plate "My, that's quite an event there. What happened that, Tani dear?" the soft-tone grandmother, Kazuko faced the much younger teen with a smug look on her face "Well, we went out separate way" She still laughs at the face the boy make when he saw her proposal 'It was such an uncharacteristic look for such an handsome boy.

A loud laughter came "Why did you left on such best part?" Tani's grandfather, Yoshitsune asked, facing the girl on his left "To make the best chapter, we have to leave on the best part" She smiled, picking up her cup of tea, sipping on it softly after putting down her silverware on the plate softly "Oh! Where did you get, Tani?" Laughed Kazuko, covering her mouth with her slander fingers, making sure the food didn't spit out.

"From mother" Tani said, softly put down her tea on the saucer, looking up at her grandparent who simply stutter at the sound of came from Tani's thin lips. "How are you?" Yoshitsune started, looking at the girl with sad adoration, holding her hand. "Baby, just know that we're always here for you if you need a shoulder to cry on" Kazuko continued with the comforting words for the teen.

She simply smiled, holding out her hand for the adult woman which Kazuko gladly took "Thank you but this small moment is enough fill the void mother has left me" She said with a soft tone, assuring the old couple despite her eyes glimmer with the sad truth of her mother.

No sound of talking was hear after that, only the sound of eating coming from Kei while Tani are wiping the oil from her lips, she gets up and check her watch "Look at the time! I should get to bed now" She smiled, tidy up her place, about to take her plate when one of the servant already catch her to it.

Thanking the servant, she slowly walked out. Her grandparents could only watch as their precious granddaughter walk away from them, before snapping back at her butler, Kei who are still eating quietly, not sounding a word since the start of their supper.

Kei raised his head back, noticing the old couple motioning their head behind him. Realizing Tani wasn't there beside him and are walking away, he panicked "Oh, shit—Tani! Wait up!" Before anything else, he quickly take his plate and tea with him to follow after the young lady "What the hell was that?" Kei asked, still with mouth full of bits of food "Just need some space" She answered to which Kei simply replied "Still, to walked out of a good family dinner. Kind of rude, don't you think" Continue stuffing his face when suddenly he bump into something smaller than him quickly saved his food from falling.

Looking down, he noticed Tani look at him with disgrace look in front of a set of stairs with one of her foot already taking on one step up. "Neither is walking while eating and talking with your mouth all at the same time" She sighed. He look down on his plate and back at his young lady "Yeah, you're right" He defeated, putting his already finished plate on the small polished coffee table beside the stairs.

Tani quickly pinched his side, hard before quickly letting it go "Ow! What was that for?!" He exclaimed "Put it on the kitchen already!" She scolded "I can go to my room myself" She continued with a flick of her wrist.

"You don't need to be so mad. I was going to do that anyway" Kei protest, picking back up his plate and rushed over towards the kitchen. Gazing over at Kei's back, shaking her head softly but stopped when she remember a crucial note she mentally made.

"Ah! Kei!" She called out to the man before he was an arm-length far. "I need you to clear my schedule two week from now" She request in an undertone but walking up the stairs after getting a rough huffed from the man.

Kei went back on his journey to the kitchen, still arguing with his young lady in his head while pulling out his smartphone and made the request arrangement as he walked down the dim yet grand living space that leads to the basement door which is he open, only to be greeted by spiral stairs build from simple medieval stone. Still murmuring the silent argument in his head, he walked down the almost dark and empty staircase with no source of light by the few lamp sticking on the wall.
