The Tower of Quill, or most famously known as Glass Castle, some of the most remarkable towers in Japan in over a decade and home to the world's leading cold cases investigation group. As such, it holds a certain indication for the criminal world, becoming the beacon of fear for past criminals and the very emblem for police and detectives. A shared light as heroes of the system.

But as the Kurosawa twins was made to believe by their benevolent sister. The one is more of a parent than their own father. The castle has a secret;

It finalized stories, a biography of sorts. The kinds of stories that the authors left on climax, leaving it to die among intercepting fans but, in contrary to a work of fiction written by an unmotivated author, it is by determine polices and furious crowds following bread crumbs for it to lead to a dead end.

As big sister Tani would describe to them, creating world of fantasies for the children, people with different ethnicity, knowledge and beauty from all around the world came to the tower for a simple one wish, for it finished a loved ones unfinished symphony, no matter how impossible it may be that made many turn their head the other way. The tower will deliver.

In the beautifully worded line of their sister, the twins know of which the stories symbolised; the cold cases

The cases that left unnoticed in the corner, collecting dust. Like, a child at the corner of a party with a tall hat on, crying and bruised with no one to help until a hand of light reached out and called for his name like a nurturing mother.

That is what Glass Castle and the organization of Quill bear for the world, to bring comfort and warmth towards the victims and people affected by the horrors of the world. To give them a final justice.

Just like the unnecessary usage of Heroes in the world's new system and norma.

The polices and detectives are using everything in their power to keep the stability of their too perfect of a society.

If heroes are the light of purity and justice then this tower is the backbone.

Though, every story will eventually have a moment of clarity, a moment of dead silence where everything went quiet. Even the vexatious birds of a feathers chirping their prayers for the whole world to hear are silent as the cemetery.

That is the same with the current meeting of the Quill's top people to solve the case of Emi Tachibana, a 20 years-old case that begins with a 16 years-old girl with a quirk that enables her body from the waist down to be fish-like once it touches water, hence the name "Mermaid". She was found dead near Fuchu Lake after 16 days of being missing by her family by 60 years-old Koi Tachi.

What a pity for such young girl to die at the prime of her life. Just for the people to see her life as nothing more than a tragedy. Truly such tragedy.

Or so, you would thought.

Tragedy never seem to be the case for the dear darling Tani Kurosawa, the youngest member of Quill with the freshest of mind among rooms filled with old sweaty men and loud arguments of vulgar words only for her to end the war of a meeting with a simple projector light coming from the other side of the room, reflecting a picture of man with fish scales on the side of his face, wearing expensive tailored suit.

The room where only, at the moment, darkness succumb as the blinds for the only available windows have been closed for the better viewing of projected picture and the ones to come after.
