To Cheer Up Maya

Riley was sitting around with her boyfriend and their friends at her mother's bakery, all except Maya as they were trying to figure out how to get Maya to talk to them. Smackle had the idea to dissect her brain which was quickly vetoed by everyone else. Zay thought of a joke he could tell her that was so stupid she would have to mock him for it. Lucas figured if he came to school dressed like a rodeo clown she wouldn't be able to resist making fun of him, but Riley didn't like the idea of her boyfriend looking like a scary clown all day. Farkle argued with Zay about the dumb joke and Zay argued back that his plan to kiss her nose again would just get him slapped. Then Riley got an idea..

"I got it! I know how to cheer Maya up!" She yelled happily. "I'll call Josh! She's probably just upset that the trip was cut short and she couldn't spend more time with him!" She exclaimed.

Zay rolled his eyes. "I don't like it."

"It'll be a great surprise!" Riley yelled.

Lucas rubbed the palms of his hands against his knees. "I don't like it either Riley. Yesterday when we talked Maya didn't seem happy when I mentioned how much she likes Josh. In fact, she ran away." He tapped his fingers on his knee. "Maybe it's not a good idea."

"She's probably just upset because her and Josh are waiting for someday." Riley giggled. "Maya is so impatient."

Zay crossed his arms over his chest. "Or maybe she's upset about waiting around for some guy to like her."

Riley shook her head. "I don't think so, I'll call him and invite him over, then I'll invite Maya over and as soon as she hears Uncle Josh will be there she'll be so excited that she'll talk." Riley grinned, proud of herself for coming up with the best plan. Riley took out her cell phone and dialed Josh's number waiting for him to answer. "Hey, Uncle Josh. Can you help me with something tomorrow?"

Lucas watched Riley talking to her uncle with narrowed eyes.

"Thanks! See ya tomorrow!" She hung up. "It's all set. Josh will come over around 2 o'clock." She smiled. "I'll ask Maya to come over before Uncle Josh so he can walk in and surprise her."

Lucas frowned. "Riley, maybe it's not a good idea. What if they got into an argument and that's what upset her?"

"Uncle Josh didn't upset her." Riley brushed it off. "Even if they argued, Maya likes Josh too much to be upset."

"Maybe we should all come. Just to help cheer Maya up and make her feel better." Zay offered nicely with a grin.

Lucas nodded pointing at Zay. "Yes, exactly, we should all come over!"

"Like a party?" Riley asked sweetly.

Lucas smiled at her. "Yeah, like a party, a party to cheer up Maya!"

"Yay!" Riley cheered.
