I walk up to him and plastered a fake smile on my face. His smile returned back on his face. We walk around the park and he did most of the talking.

I just replied with one word answers. He definitely noticed because right when we reached the parking lot he stopped me.

"What's wrong with you today?" he asked.

"I- I want to talk," I continue when his eyes meet mine "I think we should break up"

"But I don't want to break up," he answers.

At this point, I couldn't hold in my tears anymore. "Well, you should've thought about that whenever you cheated on me, "I practically shout.

"w-what do you mean,"he said silently.

"I saw you at that restaurant with that girl after you told me you were working overtime."

"That was just a friend. I promise."

"Oh right,so friends kiss."I replied getting heated.

He then turned silent as he didn't know how to respond. "beep." I turn around. It was Chan. "anyways, it's fine, that's my new boyfriend.I have to go."I lied and then walked towards Chan's car, wiping my tears.

"who was that," Chan said rolling down his window.

"my boyfriend, well ex boyfriend now."I said looking back at the man who is frowning while slowly walking away.

"get in the car,"he said pointing to the passengers seat.

I got in and he drove away."Where are we going?"I asked.

"You'll see," He said as a smile appeared on his face.

For the rest of the car ride we remained silent. A smile formed on my face when I saw that we came to an ice cream shop. It was just what I needed to numb the pain.

We walk in and I felt a sweet smell tickle my nose. We both ordered our ice cream and took a long walk along the streets.

It was quiet but it felt nice. I felt happier, like a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Chan's POV

Heejin is a joyful soul even at work. So, when she looked gloomy and I felt a pang of guilt because I didn't know how to make her happy again. She was kinda cute when she was sad though. WHICH IS NOT THE POINT but...

"Sooo... tell me about yourself." I say, trying to make small talk.

"Like what, There's nothing interesting about me." she replied blankly.

"Uh, well where did you live when you were younger?"

"I lived in Australia actually."

"Really? Me too!"I exclaim as my eyes lit up in excitement.

"Oh um, yeah. But I don't like the memories I had back in Australia. I hated my life when I was younger,"she said with a sigh.

"Why?"I asked.

"Well," she cautiously started "when I was younger there was this kid that always bullied me for being fat. He'd call me pig and stuff and wouldn't stop leaving me alone. The last time I saw that jerk was whenever he scratched my right cheek. And to this day the mark is still slightly there." she said as she rubs off the makeup on her cheek to show me.

My heart drops, I remember back in middle school I used to bully girls too. I guess I never thought about how my actions would've impacted their lives. Maybe this is my chance to make things right.

My eyes soften as I say, " What's that bastard's name. I'll take care of him."

She takes a deep breath and mutters "Christopher" her voice filled with hatred.

My eyes widened. I thought everything was just a coincidence but no way.

My name was Christopher.
