It's 4 am and I'm waiting for my parents to arrive at the airport. 

"Heejin-ah!"

I follow the sound of the familiar voice.

"Dad!" I yell back and look beside him, "Mom!"

She pulls me in for a hug. My dad adds to our hug. We stand there for a while, just hugging. 

When they finally let go, she took a step back and looked me up and down.

"You've gotten so pretty! Korea sure is treating you well." My mom begins.

"Your grandfather would've been so proud of the woman you are today" adds my dad.

"But hey I'm proud as well, that counts too." says a tall figure now standing beside my mom. 

I scrunch my face up in confusion, who was this guys? Did he come with my parents?

"what, you don't remember me? Did I get that handsome" the boy says as he pretends to slick back his hair with his palm. "The names Taeyong m'lady"

"ah Taeyong! You're here early. Like, REALLY early."

"I know, but I thought I'd come and help with the planning. Isn't that what best friends do?" He answers with a slight smirk

Rolling my eyes I say, "That's what my best friend and I would do if my best friend was a girl"

There's a slight hesitation before Taeyong scoffs and says "Hey are you being sexist right now? Huh?"

time skip

"Welcome to our house!" I cheerfully say as I hold open the door.

Some still think it's weird to move in together before getting married but it's not that weird to me. About two months after we got engaged, we both decided that it'd be best if we moved in together. I work at the same place as him, my job is basically his personal assistant. It was simply just easier.

"Oh, you're back already?" Chan calls as he walks towards the front entrance.

He gives a little bow and greets my parents

"I'll show you to your rooms," I say, they can get to know each other later.

"and I'm Taeyong," Taeyong says extending his hand to Chan.

[a/n: you guys don't know how much I wanted to say 'and I'm Johnny' This was a really awkward filler chapter tbh. I have a storyline planned out I just dont know how to get there in a way that isn't boring lmao]
