Chan's POV
I spend all night tossing and turning. When I finally stop, all the things that happened today suddenly flood back into my head.I remember the moment I caught Heejin in my arms, my face quickly burns up as my stomach filled up with butterflies. I haven't felt this way in years.
Then another memory popped up, quickly wiping away all those feelings at once, I was the bastard that bullied her in middle school. The once butterfly filled stomach had been replaced with a stone. Making myself feel heavy, heavy with guilt.
After I was sent to the principal's office, I was expelled. When our family driver picked me up from school, he handed me my passport and said my luggage was in the trunk.
He also said that my parents had enrolled me in a prestigious private school in Korea. They believed that this is how I could finally restart. It wasn't to late to become a succe
Heejin's POV
I yawn as I open my eyes. Slowly, I get up and trudge to the bathroom to take a nice warm shower. As I finish getting ready for the day I get a text.
Boss
Boss: Are you free today?
Me: yes, why
Boss: Would you like to join me for dinner?
Me: sure I don't see why not
Boss: Wonderful, I'll be at your house at 6.
To be completely honest, I don't know exactly why I agreed. The recent events haven't really changed how I felt towards him but I do know that I'm not as cold towards him anymore. Maybe I'll accept his offer just this once, this'll make everything even, I assure myself.
As soon as, I heard my doorbell ring. I walked over to the door as I put on a pair of white heels. I was wearing this:
Creds to owner
I open my front door to reveal a Chan wearing a pair of black ripped jeans, a white shirt, and a black leather jacket. He doesn't usually dress like this. He's usually wearing a tux for work."Wow you look different today," I said."Yeah, this is how I dress outside of work," he said a little embarrassed.
"Well you look great," I said giving him a reassuring smile.
"You don't look bad yourself," he replied.
I look at the ground trying to hide my now reddened face as we then proceeded to walk down the stairs and get into his car.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we walked in to be greeted by waitresses. "I don't know Chan, This restaurant looks a bit expensive," I said giving him a nervous look.
"It's fine, I'm treating you for being such a good secretary."
I nodded slightly and waited for the waitress to show us to our seats. As we're walking someone catches my eye.
I do a double take and make sure my eyes aren't deceiving me. It's Hyunjin. He's with a girl. The same girl that was with him last time.
"Why are you looking down? Chan asked being confused.
"My ex-," I didn't get to finish my sentence because Chan swiftly grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him.
I think he saw the raven haired man close by staring at us. "Smooth Chan, Real smooth," I think in my head.
Hyunjin's face suddenly turns red and turns away. I'm guessing he got jealous. After he said something to the girl, he stands up and leaves.
My face was red like a tomato by the time we got to our seats. Chan chuckled staring at me. I then cover my face with my hands. I was so embarrassed.
