I remember like it was yesterday, though it was countless moons ago, it’s still fresh in my mind. My story began on a snowy day. I was 6 years old, living in Watertown, New York when it happen. I was building a snowman with my dad like we use to. I remember have a great time with him, laughing with joy, throwing snow at each other, and just having a good old time, but then everything went from good to worst when the sky darken and the full moon rose into the sky.
A couple of men were walking toward my dad and I, I was kinda scared to be honest so I hide behind my dad’s leg. “Can I help you?” My dad said. Both of the men had their hoods up covering their faces, but one removed his hood, revealing a bald head.
“Good evening, sir. We’re from the H.A inc. I’m Dr. Frank. I’ve noticed your daughter for...quite some time and was wondering if I could take your daughter with us.”
“What do you want with my daughter?” My dad said, pushing me farther behind him.
“To ask...some question.” The bald man grinned, but my dad shook his head.
“No, I’m sorry doctor, but you’re not taking my daughter until you give me a real answer.” The man’s grin faded.
“I’ll just have to use force, then.” After he said that, I felt a hand around my wrist. One of the hooded men grabbed my wrist and tugged me away from my dad. I cried out to him, my dad was about to rescue me but the bald man held a gun to his head. “Please don’t make a scene Mr. Sawyer. We just want the girl.”
“What do you want with my daughter?!” The man grinned again.
“Let’s just say that my company are interested in people like her.” I cried out to him louder, tears were streaming down my cheeks. I could still see the sadness in his eyes as he saw his only child getting taken away from him and having a gun pointed to his head. “I really don’t wanna get my hands dirty. Especially when it’s the color red.”
Just before I could say anything the hooded man who held my wrist, scooped me up, pulling me over his shoulders and carried me away. I screamed, tried squirming out. “DADDY!!!” I cried out, tears were running down my tiny face like a waterfall.
“Don’t worry Coraline! I will find you!” Was the last thing my dad said before the men throw me in the back of white van with a black blindfold over my eyes.

Once the blindfold was removed a bright light nearly blinded my version, but once they came into focus I saw that I was far from home. I was in a laboratory, my arms and ankles were tied up in leather straps, and a cloth was in my mouth. I tried squirming out of the straps but it was no use, they were strapped on tight.
“It’s no use in trying to escape, my dear.” A voice said, I looked around to find where the voice was coming from. Then a large figure walked out of the shadows and into the light, my eyes widen. It was the same man who held a gun to my dad’s head. My heart began to pound hard against my chest, it was harder to breath. The man walked closer to me, I cried, tried so hard to scream, panicking. “Don’t worry dear. This will all be over.”
After he said that he grabbed a syringe cover in filth and rust; probably they haven’t washed that in years was filled with a black liquidy thing that seemed to be moving, almost as if it was alive. Then I felt the needle in my arm, and something cold rushed into my veins. I tried to fight it, to buck my body until the needle came out, but the pain was too great and I could feel the leather straps holding me tight against the chair. The panic grew like a living thing in my chest and I made one last mental effort to escape, to leave my flesh behind and vanish like smoke. But the liquid nightmare flowed into my like molten lead, filling my veins and arteries and weighing me down. And it’s impossible to escape anything when the chains are inside you.
