Going to another country during his summer break and going to a concert without his girlfriend.

On August 15th 2014 Jin-Wook has privately flown back to to South Korea to spend time with friends and family but was seen for the first time by the public at a SM Town Live Concert Supporting his friends who are in SM Ent. This spiked Controversy because he had announced that he was in a 2 year relationship with a non-celebrity (Lee Na-Young) but he was seen alone at the concert and with no woman with him. People assumed that he and his non-Celebrity girlfriend had broken or she was a cover up for him dating someone else as he never revealed her face to the public.

Jin-Wook got himself into some controversy when he chose to sign with Chelsea in January 2014 this was because prior to this he had previously played in Manchester United for 2 years and because of the rivalry between the two clubs' supporters many United fans began to criticize Ji-Wook for joining one of their British rivals.

On August 10th 2018 Jin-Wook was caught in another Controversy when 2 year after announcing that he and his non-celebrity girlfriend broke up after 6 years together after he posted a photo in he Apartment in Seoul, South Korea while on holidays and people commented that it looked like a lady with long black hair was laying on Jin-Wook's bed in the background. Ji-Wook quickly responded to the Controversy going on an Instagram live to clarify that the 'lady' was actually his pet dog 'max' who is a black haired Portuguese water dog who he brought with him to Korea for the first time and Was laying on Jin-Wook's bed not a lady Jin-Wook even gave everyone a house tour to show that there was no one in the house with him.

Plastic surgery rumors/suspicious

In Mid August 2019 Jin-Wook was seen in South Korean during his summer holidays Ji-Wook was seen at a restaurant with his father and due to the lighting and Camara angle it looked like Ji-Wook looked shiny and that his chin was sharper. He came out with a statement on all his SNS explaining that he has never done any plastic surgeries he explained that when those pictures were taken he had gone to the public bath with a few of his male friends in Seoul and the photo angle was taken wierdly

Rumours that his adopted daughter is actually biologically his

In March 2021 there were rumours that JinWook never adopted this daughter and that he had an affair in the past and she was actually his biological daughter. However these rumours were quickly addressed by JinWook and his team who made an press conference were JinWook publicly denied the rumours and stated that his daughter is his legally but not biologically he also said his daughter is still in touch with her biological family and they go to visit them in Milan every year in the summer.
