Cecelia woke up to the smell of coffee and the sound of Michael and Ava's chatter. She yawned and stretched before deciding to get out of bed.
"Good morning, sweetheart!" Ava giggled while stirring sugar into her coffee. "What's your plan for the day? Are you and Cal working together again today?"
Cecelia shook her head and explained she didn't have to work until Monday. "Actually, I was thinking that maybe I could look for a place of my own..." She explained, "I don't wanna overstay my welcome."
"Gone so soon?" Michael jokingly questioned, "Did Ava's hyperactivity scare you away?" Ava lightly hit Michael's shoulder because of his remark.
"You're in luck actually! My mom is the only real estate agent in town, she can help you find a place that is in your price range." Ava announced before handing Cecelia her mom's work card. "I'm free today! We can browse some homes together before dinner tonight!"
"Sounds perfect, thank yall so much!" Cecelia smiled while remembering she would get to meet more people tonight at dinner.
Ava and Cecelia met up with Ava's mom to discuss what the price range would be and start the house hunt.
"It's so nice to have someone new in town! You can call me Clara", the older lady explained while leading the two to a house close to Ava and Michael's. They examined it but decided it wasn't the right "fit". But in all honesty, Cecelia didn't really care what the house was like. Life was good so far in Bayside and she would be away from him and that's all she could ask for.
They visited 3 more houses before coming across a cute little beachy cottage. It was close to the center of town, the pier of course, and Ava and Michael's. It was perfect! It was in the price range and everything.
Cecelia paid for it with all the cash she had, which Clara didn't question because hey, money is money.
"Do you want me to help you bring your bags over? It's a short walk!" Ava offered.
"Yes please, that would be great! The dyed brunette said while hugging Ava to thank her for how much she has done for her.
The two brought over the few bags that Cecelia had to the newly bought house and adjusted a few things around the house. By the time the whole job was done, it was getting close to dinner. "Bye Celia! We can meet up at the diner by the pier for dinner! I'm eager for you to meet everyone!" Ava beamed while waving goodbye.
Cecelia smiled at the nickname, knowing she had a new close friend. Which reminded her to call Blair to let her know she found a place. She grabbed her phone and dialed her number but it went to voicemail so she left a quick message before starting to get ready for the night.
She only had limited clothes from what she brought but threw on some jean shorts and a tee, along with light makeup. She took a quick look in the mirror before deciding to french braid her hair because it got puffy in the Florida heat. After that, she was on her way to meet the crew!
"Cecelia!" Michael and Ava exclaimed in sync when she walked into the diner. She was the last one to arrive and was greeted with a table of smiling faces. Ava walked over and hugged her before guiding her to a seat.
"Daddy, look! It's Cecelia, the pretty girl from the store!" a little girl giggled, making Cecelia's head turn and a blush sprawl across her cheeks.
"How do you know Celia, Miss. Lily?" Ava questioned while tickling her sides giggling.
"She helped check me out at Captain Jacks' a few nights ago," Cecelia revealed while greeting the familiar blue eyes she saw at the store.
"You must know Luke then, as well!" Ava began to look around the diner to point him out but Cecelia hadn't recognized the name. "I'm not sure that I have." She responded.
"Well that's Lily and Jude's daddy, isn't that right sweetheart?" Ava began but was cut off by the familiar sequel of "Daddy!"
"I just left to grab some ketchup, Lils" he laughed ruffling her and Jude's hair before sitting back down.
"Luke, this is Cecelia!" Ava began to introduce the two of them, "Lily seems to know her already!"
Cecelia took her attention off the small kids and turned it to Luke, who she wished she saw sooner. She thought he was hot, no, beautiful, almost Greek God-like. "And that's where the beautiful curls and eyes came from." she thought before snapping out of her trance to shake Luke's hand.
"I own Captain Jacks', you came in a few nights ago didn't you?" Luke questioned while shaking Cecelia's nervous hand.
"Yes! I came in so I could grab a few things but I guess I was too tired to remember you, somehow." She stammered before being whacked by someone's hand.
Luke nodded, but he clearly remembered her coming in that night. He and Lily both talked about how pretty she was after she left, even though she looked dead-tired that day, Luke still was pulled to her.
"Yeah, mate! And she works with me at Sunny's." Calum laughed while torturing Cecelia.
The group began to chat some more and she found out that there was only one more person to meet, Ashton, but he was at work and would meet up some other time.
"Alright, time to head home. I gotta get these kiddos to bed." Luke began and Jude shot a pouty face at him. Everyone said goodbye to Luke and his kids and Luke shot a shy smile at Cecelia. Calum and Michael both saw it and gave each other the look. He was gonna get some shit for that later they both thought.
And with that, everyone began to slowly make their way home and end the night.
