The Promise

"It all started because of a promise I made to her. A promise to protect her no matter the cause. In an instant my life changed when I met her. It's hard to believe really, that in that very same moment I would lose all that makes me...me."

I remember touching her hand. A hand soft as roses; I don't recall what she looks like but, I remember those warm tears running down the sides of her face.

"Are you okay? Why are you crying?" Were the words I spoke out to her. She looked up at me and said, "Protect me..." And without any other words, that's exactly what I did. It was like I was drawn to her. Whatever she said, I would obey without even thinking about it.

"Don't worry I'm on my way! Besides I have something to give you." I said. That's the last thing I said to her before my accident. A flash of light and next thing I knew I was waking up in a hospital bed three years later. I haven't been able to remember anything since...

Sora: You're so late Lay Park! I bought you a clock and you haven't used it since.

Lay: *pant pant* Sorry it broke a while back.

This is Sora, we've been friends for a while now. I was told she was my girlfriend for the past 2 months but as I said before, I lost those memories.

Lay: So why are we here on a saturday?"

Sora: Well it's been almost a week since you were released from the hospital, so I wanted to do something nice for you.

Lay: Well I appreciate it thanks!

News reporter on the tv: Hello good evening! I'm here in front of the first establishment of the Vampire Asylum. The people here are furious while others are all for it. Sir how do you feel about vampires?

Man: I love them woah!!

Sora: They don't exactly believe in that stuff right? Vampires don't really exists do they?

Lay: No they don't exists! That's just something someone made up looking for some publicity.

"You're an idiot!" I looked back and there was a small child with a cape. "Gasp! Oh I'm sorry!" She said as she ran away.

Sora: What a weird little girl.

Lay: I know this may seem weird but I feel like I knew her.

Sora: How is that possible?

Lay: I don't really know either?

I walked Sora home and headed back for my place. I instantly crashed on my bed and fell into a deep sleep.

"Are you okay? Why are you crying? Is something wrong?"

"Protect me... Protect me!"

"Okay I will! Just don't cry anymore."

(Car Crashes)

"LAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"AHH!!!!!!!!" *Damnit I had that dream again. What does it mean?*

"Lay?!"

"Huh!? Who are you?! Wait come back! *She ran off!*

Hawk: Late as usual Lay. You should really get an alarm clock.

Lay: I know but I don't have any money and it's too much of a hassle to buy a new one.

Hawk: You're just lazy. So why are you so late anyways?

Lay: I had this dream and it kept me from sleeping.

Hawk: Oh I get it you were dreaming about Sora! You pervert!
