The Clawed Heroes: Season Two (MHA X Wolverine)

Chapter One - Preparing For The Internships

After the Sports Festival, X-23 and Daken had chosen their Hero names and decided to intern with their father Wolverine. As they prepared to head back home, Kirishima approaches them. 

X-23: Hey Eijiro. Are you all right?

Kirishima: I'm golden! I just wanted to say good luck on your internships! 

X-23: You to, Eijiro. Who did you decide to intern for?

Kirishima: I wanted to fight crime in a big city so I decided to intern with Fourth Kind! I'm gonna give it my all!

X-23 giggles as she kisses Kirishima on the cheek. As she did this, Kirishima grins wildly at his girlfriend and pumps his fist in the air. As he makes his way to Fourth Kind's Agency, Daken expresses his opinion. 

Daken: Why am I not surprised? 

X-23: Is there a problem?

Daken: No. It's just that you could do better than someone so loud and boisterous. 

X-23: Maybe I like that in someone. Besides, Eijiro is really sweet. Maybe you could take some pointers from him. 

Daken scoffs with a smirk on his face. 

Daken: I'd rather not. This world has enough of those. 

As they walked on home, they bumped into Todoroki. As Daken and Todoroki saw one another, a tense moment of silence was felt between the two. 

Daken: Todoroki. I see you're bones have healed. 

Todoroki: Yeah. Recovery Girl was able to heal them without much effort. She was.....shocked to say the least. 

Daken showed no concern about that. The fight between Daken and Todoroki left Todoroki with serious cuts and broken bones. Luckily for Todoroki, Recovery Girl was able to heal most of the injuries. 

Daken: Tell me, how did Endeavor react to your loss?

Todoroki was silent as he glared at Daken in response to his question. X-23 could feel the tension between the two.

X-23: We should get going. 

Daken: Right. 

Daken's cold and stoic attitude didn't win him much friends in his class as he looked down on most of them. Though some of the girls in Class 1-A were drawn to him like a magnet. Though some were scared of him after watching his fights at the Sports Festival. Soon enough, X-23 and Daken made their way to the house where Wolverine was gearing up for patrol. 

Wolverine: There you two are. How was school?

X-23: Nothing too spectacular. We chose our Hero names as well as the Pro Heroes we would be interning with. 

Daken: I doubt that second part needs explaining.

Wolverine smirks as he begins smoking a cigar. As he cracks his knuckles, he turns to his children. 

Wolverine: Before we get this internship started, I wanted to say that you both did well at the Sports Festival. Though people came to me with....concerns about the fights. Especially yours, Akihiro. 

Daken: They simply didn't have what it takes. 

Wolverine: You put two students in the hospital. Even though Recovery Girl was able to heal most of the damage, the damage was still serious.

Daken: If they were stronger, then perhaps they would've beaten me. And yet they weren't strong enough. They failed. At least with Laura she put up a good fight. The fights after that were laughable. 

Wolverine took note of Daken's statements. Though there were merits to his son's words, Wolverine still found issues with his words. 

Wolverine: We'll talk more on that later. Let's focus on the task at hand. I've been looking into the attack on the USJ or more specifically, about those who showed up. 

X-23 and Daken then remembered about how a group of Wolverine's Villains worked with the League of Villains. The group included Sabertooth, Omega Red and Lady Deathstrike. 

Wolverine: It's clear that these three are working with the League of Villains. How they got together is a mystery to me. 

X-23: Maybe they came here for you.

Wolverine: That's what I thought. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. They all got some axe to grind. But we'll work on that on the internships. 

With that, both X-23 and Daken joined Wolverine's investigation on the connection between Wolverine's Villains and the USJ attack. Meanwhile, Romulus gathers Wolverine's Villains at his hideout. 

Romulus: Let us begin. 

Lady Deathstrike: When do we kill Wolverine? The gaijin dog must die!

Sabertooth: Get in line, sister. Nobody kills Jimmy but me. 

Omega Red: Wolverine is mine to kill. No one shall get in the way of that. 

Sabertooth: Is that so, Red? Well tough luck. 

Romulus soon calmed the room before chaos could erupt. 

Romulus: Calm yourselves. You will all have your chance at revenge against Wolverine. Before that day comes, we must remain united. I came to you all because of your shared hatred of Wolverine. I promised you his death. And I shall grant you it. 

Sabertooth: I don't care what these two say, Jimmy's mine. You got that?

Lady Deathstrike: I will kill the gaijin dog! He must pay for the dishonor he brought on my family!

Romulus: Patience. You will all have your vengeance in due time. For now, we must wait for the right time to strike. Soon, Wolverine will die and you will all have your vengeance. 

With that, Romulus began laying the groundwork for his master plan. For now, he would remain patient and wait for the right time to strike. When the time was right, Romulus would make the strike that would not only kill Wolverine, but shake all of Hero Society to it's very core.
