Chapter Ten - Villain Attack

As X-23 and Daken picked up the unfamiliar scents, they made their way back to the Quirk Training Camp where they saw blue flames in the nearby forest. As they reached the cabin, they saw Aizawa stomping on what appeared to be a pile of mud. The two clawed Heroes soon met up with their teacher. 

X-23: Mr. Aizawa! Are you all right!

Aizawa: I'm fine, but that's not important right now. Villains are attacking the training camp!

Daken: It would appear the League of Villains have made their move.

Aizawa: It doesn't matter at this moment. What matters now is that we need to push them back. You two get inside and let the Pros handle this. 

X-23: We can help you. Our healing factors will make fighting the Villains easy. 

Daken: And from what it appears, you need all the help you can get. 

At this point, Aizawa thought about the situation at hand. Most of the students were scattered all across the camp. Even with all the Pros at the camp, they were still outnumbered against the League of Villains. 

Aizawa: Fine. Find your classmates and get them to safety. There's a possibility that the students are targets so watch your back. Don't do anything reckless.

With that, X-23 and Daken began moving through the Beast Forest in search for their classmates. Meanwhile, the Villain Mustard was attacking Tetsutetsu and Kendo who were defending the students who were rendered unconscious by a gas cloud generated by his Quirk.

Kendo: Carrying a gun around is just another way of saying you've got no confidence in a fight. Because at least us simple minds at U.A...have grown beyond the point of ever thinking there's no hope!

Mustard: Hey...aren't you supposed to be heroes someday? It doesn't make much sense to me...how a simpleton like you gets praised because of your school's reputation...you're pampered by the world just because of your alma mater!! Don't ya think it's not right?!

Mustard then shoots at Kendo, but Tetsutetsu takes the bullet.

Tetsutetsu: Kendo! Run! Get out of here!

Kendo: I'm not leaving you behind!

Mustard: You're getting a top-notch education at a famous school. At least use some strategy. If not...you're barely worth killing.

As Mustard was about to shoot them, X-23 lunges at the Villain and digs her claws into his shoulders. Mustard screams in pain as he points his gun at X-23 and shoots her point blank in the face. X-23 was blasted off of Mustard. As Mustard gets up to reload his pistol, he is shocked to see X-23 getting up with a healing bullet wound to the head.

Mustard: What the fuck are you?!

Before Mustard could shoot X-23, Daken turned him around and slashed his mask open. Immediately, Mustard succumbs to his own gas and loses consciousness. As soon as Mustard loses consciousness, the gas cloud dissipates.

Daken: All too easy. Did you really have to let him shoot you in the head? 

X-23: It was in the heat of the moment. 

Tetsutetsu: Thanks for the assistance! 

Suddenly, the students were ambushed by a Nomu. X-23 and Daken immediately ready their claws. 

X-23: Go! Get the others to safety!

Kendo: What about you?!

Daken: We'll handle this beast. You'll only slow us down. 

Left with no choice, Kendo and Tetsutetsu gathered the unconscious UA students and got them away while X-23 and Daken stood behind to fight the Nomu. 

Daken: This'll be too easy. 

Daken lunged at the Nomu and slashed at it's chest with his claws at it's stomach. The Nomu howled in pain as it grabs Daken and slams him repeatedly to the ground. X-23 went around the Nomu and pinned herself to it's back. In an attempt to shake her off, the Nomu begins plowing through the forest. X-23 hangs on as she hops on the Nomu's shoulders and begins slashing at his head. The Nomu grabs X-23 by the head and slamming her to the ground. Daken then leeps in and severs the Nomu's arm, freeing his sister. X-23 recovers and lunges at the Nomu, stabbing it in the brain, killing it. 

Daken: Not a bad execution, sister. 

X-23: We're not done yet. We have to get to the others. 

It wasn't long before X-23 and Daken caught up with Kendo and Tetsutetsu. As they got moving, movement was heard in the trees. 

Kendo: What was that?

Daken: Company. 

Everyone stops as they prepared for what seemed to be an attack. Soon enough, they came across Yosetsu Awase carrying a wounded Yaoyorozu.

Kendo: Awase!

Kendo and Tetsutetsu rush to Awase and Yaoyorozu. X-23 checked on Yaoyorozu. 

X-23: What happened? 

Awase: We got ambushed by this giant creature. It looked like that Nomu.

Daken: It seems there's more than one. We killed one not too long ago.

Suddenly, X-23 spots the Nomu heading in the opposite direction. Everyone goes into hiding as the Nomu looks around. As X-23 and Daken were about to attack, Yaoyorozu stops them. 

Yaoyorozu: S...stop! I....I placed a tracker on it.

Soon enough, the Nomu walks away. After that, everyone takes a moment to collect themselves. Daken then takes a look around to see that the fire has died down

Daken: The fire's died down. We better get moving before more Villains arrive.

With that, X-23 and Daken led the other students to safety. Soon enough, the invasion from the League of Villains was stopped, but not before they were able to kidnap Bakugo. Many of the students suffered minor injuries during the attack. However, this was only the beginning of a much larger threat posed by the League of Villains. A plot had been set in motion that would shake the very foundations of Hero Society.
