Nomana's pov 

I saw her leave. An elegant smile plastered on her face . A smile so pretty and pure for this world . I sometimes wonder how a small precious bean like her can suffer this much . Her uniqueness some how makes her lonely .

Being unfamiliar with your own self must be truly  frustrating.

No matter how much she stayed normal the whole day but the night scenery brings the same unsolved mystery back .
The  battle in her head sometimes reflects from her eyes. I pity her lonely soul.

I have raised her like my own child .  but she never actually called me her mother neither did I forced her to . she was just two days  old when her mother died allotting her in my hands.
        
                      Flashback

It was 18 years ago when I was roaming around the forest in search of some  herbs as I was just freshly new in my medical profession . I saw a body laying lifeless on the grass . I hesitated  but still approached  it . It was a young girl may be 18 or 19 years old . Her face pale . Her fancy looking gown all covered in blood . First I thought she might have been attacked by some wildlife . But then my eyes laid on her uper front . Her arms holding securely onto a small life. which was covered in the piece of cloth same as her dress . It looks like she had ripped the piece from her gown to cover the baby . I immediately checked her pulse to see if she was dead.  But her blood was still running in her  veins. I slowly took the baby out from her embrace and tied it with my front securely using the same piece of fabric. And I picked her up and made her to lay on my  back .I somehow managed to gave her piggy back to my house . Their I laid her on my treatment room .

She was still unconscious but the baby was awake  her eyes glittering and her soft features, made my heart melt.  I took care of the mother and baby for two days . I tried to save her . I tried everything but her body was so limp because of massive blood loss.  Which according to my observations was due to her delivery  which most probably took place without any medical or any other kind of care supervision.

    “ please take care of her. She is all I have put my life in.”

Were her last words just before she lost her life in my hands.

I lived alone , my parents were dead and my only sister lived in some other  town with her family . I couldn’t  marry anybody because I myself was not capable to give birth to a child.  So all my reasons and the universe was telling me to keep this child with me. keep her safe  and raise her as my own child . But things weren’t that simple. At the night time I saw the little baby changing into something totally different her eyes were of crystal color, Her hair ,her skin every thing was so different  that I haven’t  seen something like this before . Her appearance changed totally and she  only sleeps under the moonlight . These things made me scared for some time but the desire to be a mother or just too feel like it  made me keep her and raise her like a normal child . My child .

Although, she never called me her mother I told her several times but she would never let that word slip her tongue. So I stopped telling her to call me mom instead I made her learn my name and call me by my name.

It hurts sometimes cause all I wanted was to feel The affection of child to her mother . It isn’t that she don’t love me but it’s just she never thought me as off her mother . Its like she knows is from the start that I was not her real mother.  Or there is someone who reminds her this every night.

3rd person pov

“Luna please slow down .We know you are  excited for today but get a hold on your self mam and please walk in a human pace or you are gona left us behind” says the taller girl .

“ Jassi , you know we can’t be late . I mean  we should hurry and enjoy this time as much as we can cause we have to be back before the dusk and good time flies , you know” .Luna said while facing the girl who was actually mocking the boy back then .

“ I don’t  know why Nomana wants you to be back before sundown .  we are adults . Its not like some wild animal will eat us or kill us . We are skilled and can protect our selves . And just look at my biceps . I can totally protect you three with this amazingly muscular body of mine and this fearless heart. So Nomana should trust me at least”. said the boy who was just behind the three girls still holding the tool bags .

“Mark!! Dont move. Stop right there ."

Wh-why ? Is their something behind me ? Tell me.The boy stuttered , his eyes reflecting pure fear .

"There is a  snake behind you .Oo My God its Huuuuuugee and is coming towards you" . A girl standing beside Luna and Jassi shouts while pointing behind the boy.

“Wh-what  ? Nn-no  s-save me .No God Im gona die ,Im gona die . Its finally over .i  am leaving this World " the boy murmured

His face lost all the colors ,His eyes closed tightly and body trembling with fear.

“ But you said you will protect us ,and  here you are begging us to help you , you coward pussy cat”.

The voice followed by loud noise of laughter  made him open his eyes . Watching three girls laughing hysterically . He looked at them with confused expressions trying to process what just happened . Then the realisation hit him and there he is standing dumb glaring at them with his fierce eyes .

"you , stupid girls , I almost peed my pants  , wait let me teach you a lesson” he  shouts while running behind the three girls who were already far away from his sight. 

Luna’s  POV

We were just playing running like some nursery kids . Its always like this when we four are together we are the happiest . Only with them I forget my problems my sorrow, my pain .We are childhood friends always together .

Mark and Jassi are siblings while Emily lives across their house. So basically they are neighbors. And Nomana used  to go to Emily’s  house to treat her grandmother who had some sort of skin disease . So she always took me with her and that’s  how we four became best friends.  But they don’t know about my mystery . Nomana told me not to tell about it to anybody or they may stop being friends with me. 

I Always fear losing people because of my uniqueness. So I kept it as a secret. 

We didn’t  even realize that we reach the middle of the forest. This place is not actually that safe but we are not afraid. We have been here before but nobody knows . Cause Nomana has given us permission for only the outer edge of forest where only animals  like deer and wild goats and cows habitats.  But in this deeper part of jungle their we can come across wildest animals like cheetah, wild bears or even wolfs.

We proceed our walk to some suitable place. Where its easy for us to hide and locate our prey. Finally we found a huge tree setting our tools to the one side resting for a while before we separate into pairs and hunt something and meet at the same place before evening . Whether we caught any prey or not. We have to be back before darkness .
