I hissed as I glared at the disrespecting Omegas before me. I watched as they shot off sneers at Devin, a new member to our pack. Anger pouring off of me, my hands fisted as I approached.

A snarl ripped out of my throat. Standing before him, I squared my shoulders and stood tall, attempting to assert my dominance.

"Katherine!" I heard being shouted. My body froze as my lip curled. Turning around, I caught Devin giving me a look before I met my father's gaze.

"It's Nova," I gritted out.

He glared me. "I named you Katherine and you will be addressed as such. Understood?" Father stated.

Gritting my teeth, my hands curled inward, digging my sharp nails into my palms before I nodded.

"Go to Luna Laura's office. We need to discuss a little issue that has came to my attention." Father ordered.

The surrounding pack members went silent.

"Now!" He shouted, staring me down.

With an inner flinch, I began walking. Little droplets of blood began to spring up from my palms. My chest was constricted with each breath I took.
Everyone stared at me but none of them mattered to me, except for one. His was the only gaze I refused to meet.

She cried out in pain as the whip crashed down on her bare back. Beta Elton and Beta Ash held the teen's arms back and to the side, keeping her pinned to her knees and immobilized, as the girl's father inflicted her pain. The two Betas stood there in the silent room, completely stoic, not a hint of anything on their expressions.

The light above the four flickered as it swayed from the ceiling. Half broken screams emitted from her throat as her mutilated back arched, desperate to get away from the cruelty. The whip came down all the way from her left shoulder blade to her right hip in a diagonal slash. She could feel the skin cracking open.

Tears flowed out of her eyes as she stared up at the wavering light, gritting her teeth.

"That's enough. Release her," Alpha Jonathan ordered.

Beta Elton and Beta Ash released her arms and she fell pathetically to the ground in front of her.

Her father's booted feet walked around and stopped right on her face that was still on the ground. Taking the toe of his boot, he tilted up her chin.

Shaking, Nova met his gaze, only briefly noticing the glove he hand on his left hand. He grimaced down at his daughter before sneering.

"Look at you. So pathetic." He dropped his foot and her head fell right back to the ground.

Alpha Jonathan's lip curled at the site of the bloody disgrace below him. He walked around her before kicking her side with a growl. She cried out in pain, unable to move.

A low rumbling sound came from the man as a sick smirk came over his face. 'He would have obedience one way or another,' he thought as he glanced down at his gloved hand. Turning around, he traveled a few steps closer to the door before looking over his shoulder.

"Maybe this will make you listen to me," he sneered, tossing a small bit of silver ash over his shoulder to land on the raw, bleeding wounds of the degraded girl.

The Alpha walked out, his two Betas following after him. All that could be heard from the old, abandoned office was the sound of one scream only. Then there was no sound.

"These are some nasty wounds, Nova. I can't believe he would do that to you," Aries mumbled as she attempted to patch up the slashes on my back.

"I can't either," I muttered, laying my face down on the pillow. "That's not even the worst part."

Aries paused what she was doing to listen to me. I took in a deep breath.

"He stripped me of my authority."

"Before you stands a traitor to our pack. Our sweet Katherine Whisper here thought she could get away with fornicating with a rogue." Alpha Jonathan said loudly, prowling around the teenage girl on her knees.
A new t-shirt covered her wounds, making no one aware of the true reason why the girl panted for breath.

The pack members all surrounded the Alpha and the future leader who was bowing before them. Her whimpers fell on deaf ears as she sat there on the dusty ground, tilted forward, hands on her knees and her violet hair covering her face.

"As punishment, I hereby strip Katherine Nova Whisper of her authority over the pack. As my sole heir, she will still be the next Alpha but as of now, she shall be treated as an Omega. She will do the work of a messenger but if I so much as catch a glance of someone treating as anything above what I have casted her, then there will be trouble to pay. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, Alpha Jonathan," the crowd chorused.

The Alpha stood there, proud of what he had done. Everybody watched him as they dropped to one knee and clasped a fist to their chest. A sign of respect to their Alpha.

All the while, no one could see the tears that ran down Nova's face. Only 16 and already damaged.
