All I could do was stare at this boy. How did he get on our island, and does he know of all the magic that it holds?

As we stared at each other I started to hear more calls from my fathers crew, and it sounded as if they were headed back this way.

Peter must have heard it to because he offered me his hand. Not knowing what to do I just stared at it, could I trust him or even more, should I trust him. He let out an aggravated sigh and grabbed my hand in his.

He started pulling me behind him as we ran through the forest. I would be lying if I said this wasn't fun. It is, after all part of my adventure.

I could see sky through the usually thick canopy of trees so I knew we were nearing the end of the forest. But it wasn't till we got to the edge of the trees that I saw the cliff with a huge drop leading down to an impressively sized river. Normally this wouldn't have bothered me but the thing was we wernt slowing down!

I tried pulling on Peters hand and digging my heels into the ground. Nothing was slowing his pace. This boy had to be mad we would plummet to our deaths if we jumped!

Seeing how frightened I was he stopped. Turning to look at me he said in a slightly rushed voice "You're going to have to trust me, I won't let you fall."

"You won't let me fall?!?!" I screeched my eyes growing wide "you were trying to jump off that cliff, we would die, are you crazy?!"
At that moment I could hear voices yelling from the forest behind us "Over here I think we've found here!"

Shit my fathers men were getting closer and I'm cornered. My adventure is going I come to an end before it even begins!
The boy looked over my head into the forest then turned to look at the cliff of the canyon, then turned back to face me.

He shot me an apologetic look, then leaned down and with one swoop I was sitting on his back.

That's when he started to run again. Peter took five big strides and pushed of the edge if the cliff with his feet.

I wrapped my arms tighter around him and closed my eyes, I really did not wish to see my impending doom. I felt air whooshing past us still not willing to open my eyes.

"You can open your eyes now" Peter whispered. I shook my head vigorously, earning a small chuckle from him.

"You'll be sorry you didn't."
I cracked one of my eyes open and gasped. We were above the tree tops and I could see our shadows on the ground below us.

We were flying.
