Chapter 20- Court

Ivory's POV

When we arrived at the courthouse it was about 10:57 and I saw Mia arguing with an officer.

"Mia refrain yourself "And I gave the officer a polite smile and dragged her away.

" Caramel whatcha you doing here" she wiggled her eyebrows at him, he hid behind me using me as a shield from Mia.

" Well I wasn't gonna let you come here alone , if I did then you would be in prison" he got a good point. We walked into the court room and saw Dylan and Lola. Dylan had a cast on his arm and foot while Lola face was black and blue.

The bitches had it coming

The judge walked in and everyone rose to their feet and when I saw who the judge was I didn't worry any longer. It was Mrs. Halsey , Mia's aunt and my favorite cook.

" Ivory baby fancy seeing you here" she said with a smile.

" Hey Mama D" I sent her a smile and then she scowled at Mia.

" You again" they both rolled their eyes. Mia and her aunt could pass as twins.

" So Mr Thorpe and Ms Richards would like to sue Ms Richards and Ms Gray for assault the fine is $100,000,000"

" Yes your honor " Dylan said .

" Boy don't interrupt when I'm speaking " Raymond let out a chuckle but covered it with a cough when everyone looked at him.

" Ms Richards please come to the stand and make your oath"

" Do you swear to tell nothing but the truth" I placed my hand on the bible.

" I swear to tell nothing but the truth" then their lawyer came up to me. He looked like a dried prune with mismatched socks.

" Ms Richards why did you decide to physically abuse your fiancé who provides for you and made you who you are today"

I looked at the excuse for a lawyer infront of me like he grew another head.

" Let's get this out of the way I am an independent woman , I don't need a man to take care of me. See that ring on his finger I bought that, suit his wearing I bought it so before I jump over this stand and beat his ass ask him which bill that excuse of a man ever paid" I folded my arms and leaned back.

" You go bitch" Mia shouted in the courtroom.

" That's all your honor " he went to his seat with his head hung low and the two dimwits mumbled like little kids sent to the naughty corner.

I came down from the stand and Mia gave me a high five.

" That's how you do it"

" Ms Gray come to your throne" Mia made sure she swayed her hips extra and sat on her royal throne. The officer didn't even bother asking for an oath. Our lawyer walked up and was ready to ask Mia questions.

" Ms Gray what were you doing at Ms Richards apartment "

" So like I left my phone because I spent the night over there and you know I pull up to her crib and was gonna give her neighbor a visit she came home early and I said fuck it"

" Language Mia"the lawyer chuckled

" Sorry Mama D , so yeah I went up there we were talking and I heard these two hoes spreading yeast infection in my girls room and I was like ..."

" Okay Ms Gray that's enough is it true that Ms Richards was the provider in their relationship "

" The bitch cook, clean and wash his stinking draws and guess what she never got no..."

" Don't go any further, that's all your honor"

" So based on what I know and what I'm seeing this woman was betrayed by a man she loved and trust and when she put him his place he comes running like a cry baby" Mama D sent him a scowl.

" Mr Thorpe you will give Ms Richards back the ring and enter counseling because you and the other Richards need help, Ms Richards over here now you already paid the hospital bill I'll let you off the hook . Court adjourned "
