(Hey. I'm like... back to writing I guess.)
There are a lot of posters around. They don't look like everyone in real life. They're drawn, animated. Different. Why did they change that? Maybe because to make the place kid friendly. How could people even come back after the incident?Baby started at the few posters that had been scattered across the dark grey walls. She seemed quite interested in them, which Funtime Freddy found odd. She didn't even notice him walk by, he even said hi.
It had been almost two weeks since Baby had 'joined their little crew' in the underground. The others noticed some strange behaviour involving the tall clown, but Ballora had always shot them an excuse, which always worked. Although confronting the clown herself could have easily solved their issue, they didn't. Fearing that the clown would either get mad or upset. They didn't know what she was capable of doing to them.
"Baby?"
Back to the posters, Baby smiled at her own thoughts. They did look fun. Colourful. Did they still put up kids drawings?
"Circus Baby?"
Perhaps not, they weren't the best looking and maybe the owner didn't like them around. People might think they are bad for the environment.
"Hello? Baby?"
But Baby thought otherwise, having children's art showed the customers they cared and that children did have fun. Which was nice, in her mind.
"Baby!"
Baby's rather long daze had been broken by a certain dancer. The clown glanced around slightly before she noticed Ballora had even been there. She let out a soft 'Hm?' noise, raising her eyebrows slightly and turning her body to face Ballora.
"You've been standing there staring at the posters, smiling for almost an hour. Are you okay?... You have been acting rather odd lately," Ballora sounded concerned, questioning if bringing Baby was really was a bad idea.
"Oh—sorry. I was just thinking. About what this place used to be, I mean. The children's drawings are gone, replaced by the animated posters of you guys. When I worked here, they weren't drawn like that. They looked more... realistic," Baby shared, her attention returned to the poster. She dragged her finger along the lineart of the poster.
"Oh. I've never taken into consideration about what the old place looked like. It was here, but... designed have changed a lot." Baby hummed as a response.
"Sorry for acting odd. The place brings memories and nostalgia, you know? I can't help but wonder why I lost it so fast. I was alone, but I was full-filling my purpose. That made me... happy. Then... you know," Baby faced away, lifting her shoulders gently.
"That makes sense, and I'm sorry. But the others are started to get on edge with you, it's worrying me." Baby looked back towards her, her eyebrows knitting together. "They don't want me here?"
"No- Baby, that's not—"
"I've never been around other robots, besides one. Why do they expect me to be good at this?" Baby cut her off, taking a step closer to Ballora, leaning down slightly.
Ballora put her hands on Baby's shoulders and pushed her back slightly. "Baby, I'm sorry. I tried to tell them, but... I don't know. What matters is I want you here. Okay?"
Baby seemed to calm at her words, relaxing herself and taking in a deep breath. "Okay. I'm sorry. I'll try to be more... friendly?" Ballora smiled, cupping Baby's cheek. "I want you to be you. Just try not to zone out so much, and if you have an issue I'm always here."
The clown nodded, turning a heel and walking away without another word. Ballora thought it was odd, but Baby was odd. Not that she cared, she enjoyed Baby's company. Even if the others didn't exactly see eye to eye with her on it. Not because she's tall, but because she is just... herself.
Baby wondered and bumped into Lolbit, to which the fox snarled. "Watch where you're going, Wendy's!" Baby gave her a puzzled look, "Who's Wendy?" "It's a ... ugh, nevermind. You're to old to know what stuff is. You've been down here." Baby once again gave her a puzzled look. "So have you? How do you know Wendy?"
Lolbit responded with a low growl, pushing a confused Baby aside and padding away. The clown brushed it off, already knowing what the others thought of her. Negative, to be blunt. Well, besides Ballora.
Ballora.
Baby liked Ballora. She was the first person who was ever kind to her. Why was she kind to her? No one else is kind to Baby. She pondered the thought, but shook her head and continued on.
Rather loud footsteps could be heard if Baby was near a room, echoing slightly. Not that she minded herself, used to her own sounds. Although they came to a stop when Baby found a room, empty besides some boxes and a strange machine. She sat down, starting to let thought wonder her mind.
Ballora, again.
"She's nice to me. Maybe she just feels pity. That would make sense," Baby thought. But she came to the conclusion she was over analyzing it, Ballora really was kind to her.
She had to repay her, and Baby just knew how. Without another thought, she got up and sprinting into action of plan 'Returning the Favour'.
