Iceman had never found someone who could get past his tough exterior. And not to mention, it was hard for him to find someone in the first place because he's into men. He's pretty much given up on guys, after being cheated on and dumped so many times, it's not hard to see why.

Then he was sent off to Top Gun. And everything turned around, Iceman had thought so anyway.

He was sitting in the class, his R.I.O, Slider, sitting next to him. He glanced around as LCDR Jester lectured the pilots. Iceman's eyes landed on a pilot sitting in the front right; he wasn't very big, he was really small at best, he had dark hair that was gelled to the bare minimum and he had quite the striking gaze. He didn't notice Iceman, so, Ice looked away.

Then, out of the corner of his eye, Ice noticed the smaller pilot looking at him. He looked back, getting a better look at him. His eyes were a beautiful shade of green; they reminded Iceman of oak leaves and pine needles.

Iceman didn't want to get caught staring, so he broke the eye contact by holding his pen in the small pilot's line of sight, making him look away from Iceman. Ice, hesitantly, looked away. He wanted to keep looking, but he chose not to for the moment.

As their Commander, Viper, was introduced, Iceman decided to steal another glance the pilot. So, once Viper passed between them for the second time, Iceman looked over to the young looking male only to make eye contact with him. Ice flashed his award-winning smirk at him. The other one seemed to get a bit flustered.

They broke eye contact again. Ice had a million thoughts racing through his head. They raced so fast he couldn't cling to a single one for very long. He thought this guy was really cute and he hoped that he'd feel the same.  Slider gave Iceman a weird look, but Ice didn't care. He had a crush on his competition; that's a real problem.

He looked once more at the small pilot. He was arrogant, as pointed out by Viper a minute ago. Iceman didn't care if his gaze gave away the obvious; Ice wanted him.

And he'll do whatever it takes to get him.

As the smaller pilot passed by with his R.I.O, Iceman decided to be competitive.

"The plaque for the alternates is down in the ladies room." Iceman said, smirking. He heard a very exaggerated laugh from his new crush's R.I.O. He turned to see that he received a simple eye roll and suggestive smile from the crush.

Oh boy.
