FLASHBACK 3200+ years ago

"come on Zel, i bet you cant catch me" Arcdadia laughs loudly as she ran as fast as she could but kept sending him quick glances over her shoulder

"Of course i can" Zeldris calls back and charges after her even though both of them knew that he wouldn't be able to catch her, but times like this was good for them because they both felt free and happy and the two of them didn't have to worry about any of their duties 

Suddenly Arcadia used her wings to shoot up into the sky and then she flew as fast as she could to get away from him and after a minute or so she stopped flying with a giant grin on her face but her face turned to complete awe as she looked down at the ground below her that had a small creek and was completely covered in multiple different  wildflowers. The sweet smell from the flowers wafted up and the smell made her feel ecstatic 

"ha i caught up to you" Zeldris says excitedly as he flew up next to her but he was confused when he didn't hear a reply from her so he looked up at her face and he swore that his heart started beating a hundred times faster when he saw the most beautiful look on her face and the sun that had just begun to set was hitting her in the face perfectly, and at that moment Zeldris swore that she was an angel

Slowly and Hesitantly Zeldris grabbed onto her hand and she quickly snapped out of her daze and looked over at Zeldris in confusion but she smiled when she saw him there with a gentle smile on his lips 

"Oh hey little Zel looks like you caught me" Arcadia said to him with a grin on her face but he gently tugs her down towards the ground where the flowers were and then he makes her sit there and he sits down next to her

Arcadia looks up at the sunset in awe, completely mesmerised by its beauty and how all of the different colours mixed together or contrasted against each other "its so beautiful" She mumbles out softly with a small smile on her face

Zeldris picked up a small light blue flower and tucked her hair behind her ear and stuck the flower in her hair and she gave him a warm smile "you're even more beautiful" he mumbles out to her and she chuckled softly under her breath and gave the young boy a kiss on his cheek and laid her head on his shoulder and continued to watch the sunset

"Youre real sweet Zeldris" Arcadia mumbles out to him and then she pulls her head of his shoulder and places her hand on his cheek and his dark eyes disappear and are taken over by his normals emerald green eyes that even though she wouldn't admit it, she loved so much "You have the most amazing eyes"

Zeldris cheeks flared up quickly and he turned his head to look away from her which only makes her grin and laugh a little bit. Arcadia stands up and reaches her hands out for him to grab "Dance with me"She asks with a smile on her face and he hesitates for a second but then he places his hands in her soft ones

And they begin to dance slowly to the humming and chirping of the surrounding birds and the sound of running water from a river near by. It was a little awkward because of the hight difference at first and she knew he felt insecure about it so she used her wings to lift them up into the sky and the two of them danced while flying, staring into each others eyes and carefully he begins to lean in and she starts to too but just before their lips touch, Arcadia pulls away and unwraps her arms from around Zeldris and looks away from him 

"I'm sorry" Zeldris says quickly "did i do something wrong? I'm so stupid"

"No Zel its not you're fault okay" Arcadia exclaims "I-I i just cant do this okay"

"Why not, why cant you do this, i know you feel something going on between the two of us, i cant be the only one" Zeldris said pleadingly "don't you feel something?"

"I think i love you and I'm terrified" She whispers out and goes down towards the ground

"I know i Love you Arcadia, you own my heart" He says and follows her, so that now both of them were standing on the ground

"But i shouldn't love you Zeldris, you're to good for me okay and you are my best friends brother" Arcadia says to him "i don't know how to love"

"Arcadia, if anyone was too good for the other you would be the one too good for me, i think about that everyday, how you are so much better than me, i don't deserve you but i love you and i cant control that. Besides Meliodas wouldn't care if we were together, he adores you and he definitely wants you to be happy" Zeldris says and he steps towards her but she steps back "and of course you know how to love, i know you Arcadia, or at least i like to think i do, i see the way you act and the way you look at things and the way you feel and i know that you can love" Zeldris says "Please Arcadia... i need you"

"Im a monster Zeldris, i have killed so many people, even innocent people" Arcadia warns him

"I love you, and even at your worst, i cant help but still love you. And you are no monster" Zeldris says and steps towards her again and pulls himself into her for a hug, his head going straight to her chest and she sighed and ran her fingers through his soft hair "I'm going to get stronger so that i can protect you, and nothing will happen and we will get older together, get married and maybe even have some kids"

"Well someone has got it all planned out don't they" Arcadia asks him with a grin on her face but then it just turns to a soft smile "but i would love that... more than anything else in this entire world"
