"Okay dear time for you to get ready to go." My Mother said, as she smiled. She hands me my hood, and she packs some cookies and vegetables in my basket. She hands my basket to me then hugs me.

"Be careful in the woods."
"I will, don't worry." I reply.
This time she doesn't smile, she just gives me a kiss on the cheek. I'm just about to walk out the door but before a do I look back.

"I love you mom." She smiles, and says "I love you too dear."

I walk about 5 miles. I'm I the woods, but not too deep in the woods yet, just starting.

"So far so good." I tell myself.

The wolf lives deep in the woods so I shouldn't see him yet. I've never seen the wolf before but my grandmother told me that he tried to take me away but my Dad stopped him. The Wolf had always hated my Dad.
He killed him when I was 6. He was waiting for him in the early morning on October 23, 1828. He ripped him up, stabbed him 12 times in the stomach, clawed out his eyes and lift him on our doorstep. I hear a snap and crack, and a wolf howl maybe 4 miles away. Im really deep in the woods now.

Another wolf howls, I'm in trouble now.
