Chapter 19 Something's There

Y/n's POV

"I just want to know if they got together and see everyone since I'll be leaving."

"I know I know but, do you have to do this while being cosplayed as Gon?" I asked the small female who stood beside me. Her hair down, unlike Gon's. Did she really do this because she wants her ends green?

"Is that such a problem? Besides, it suits me." That was enough to tell me she would probably wear this on a normal day. I wasn't gonna try stopping her or anything. She'll probably fight me if I do.

"Okay then." Getting to the room where everyone was staying, I knocked on the door. It didn't take long before we were greeted enthusiasticly and let in. Child stayed close to me.

"You just missed the big news; Aphmau and Aaron are dating!" Lucinda told me as we went over where everyone else was practically gathered.

"Called it!" I quickly slapped a hand over Celeste's mouth.

"Child, do you not have decency?" Her words came out muffled but I can make out a half assed reply. She really didn't care. This is why I can't have children... But she got the attention on us for sure now. "Hey guys! Don't mind Celeste here, she just somehow had energy this morning." A quick smack to the side from said female was earned. But I took my hand off her mouth, that much I can do. "So, are any of you up for breakfast? Child here has to head home soon so I thought it would be nice to have you all around before she goes." I'm asking but this is what Celeste wanted. It makes sense for me to ask but child was just too awkward to ask herself.

"Awe~, I'll join you guys!" Of course Garroth would... Those bright blue eyes of his were open wide and trying to look cute. That can only work so much on me but he's not convincing me to do anything.

"Sure, I'll go." Ah, yes. A two package deal with these two. Looking at Laurence who agreed to come, it wasn't that surprising.

"Ooo! I'll come!" Not surprising that Aph was that ready to come. And I know Aaron was gonna come too.

"I'll come." Called it. I didn't even need to look to know who that deep voice belonged too.

"Kawaii~Chan will come too!"

"I guess I'll come..." Katelyn sighed.

"Sis, be nice. You know you want to spend time with her." I scolded the cotton candy blue head as I squished the child's cheeks with my hands, giving her a fishy face because physics. I know my sister actually likes this dork I'm holding.

"I'm not staying in this hotel alone, I'm coming." Lucinda spoke before I looked over at Zane who was kind of backing away.

"Zane~...? Will you come pwease~?" I let go of the child as I cooed for him to come too, giving him big puppy eyes and he went as far as to pout my lip.

Zane's POV

"W-what..!? What are you doing?!" It's one thing to ask but why is he asking me with that face!? That- that dumb look! Why does he have to look like a puppy!?

"Asking you to join us for beskfast." He wasn't even speaking with actual words part of the time! "Pwease come with us?" He got on his knees and clasped his hands together with his expression not changing.

"H-hey now! Stop that!" I could feel the heat on my face rising after being caught off guard the first time. "Okay! I'll go! I'll go! Just stop that and stand up!" He didn't need to ask like that.... He could have just asked me and I would have said yes.. At least it was only that goof asking and not my baffoon of a brother and Aph also trying to convince me... I wouldn't have been able to deal with that.

"Awesome!" The guy shot up from the floor, that blue strand of hair along with the rest of his h/c hair lightly bouncing as he did so. It's gotten longer since I've first met him... I wonder if he's gonna get it cut soon. He seemed happy to have me come...

Celeste's POV

It was nice to be able to have breakfast with everyone. Sitting at the end of the table with Y/n next to me but as the table turns a corner on his end, there's Zane and then Aphmau. Of course, Aaron is next to her and that's where her attention was at the moment. I sat there drinking my water as my uncle just talked and talked. And Zane seemed to just watch him.. Not saying anything. Just quite. There was just talking at the table, the occasional dragging me into the conversation for a bit but I should get Zane out of his little daydream before someone else does it.

"Zane, do you like the rain?" We were talking about how it doesn't rain a lot where I live so it's easy to ask him that simple question.

"Huh? What?" It worked. He looked around for a moment before looking at me.

"Do you like the rain?" It could tell there were some people who noticed this and were a bit surprised that I was trying to talk to Zane. I've talked to him before but they don't really know that much. The black shored man just cleared his throat and didn't look at me directly as his gaze would avert at times when answering but he would look at me now and again.

"I do." Damnit, simple answer. I was lucky for Y/n to pop in.

"Rain is always nice. Well, scratch that before someone fights me on that." He glanced at me, knowing I'm a little shit who would have said something. Which yes, I was going to say hurricanes.

"Fight you..?" Zane was confused, I guess he was still getting used to being back in reality again.. Y/n just kept talking to Zane and I watched that blue eye stay focused on my uncle... Something's there, I just can't tell what. I can assume so much from what little I know. Wonder? Curiousity? Interest? Admiration? There's a lot it could be... And I don't think I'm going to find out what it is with what little time I have left here... But I just smiled, resting my elbow on the table as I watched the two talk, and I would join in. I like Zane. I've made up my mind on that. I want a friend like him.
