Chapter 3- Someone New...

After I unpacked, I went downstairs to meet with my dad. As i was walking down the stairs, i heard my brothers having a conversation with someone in the kitchen right next to the stairs. (No, I wasn't eavesdropping, I was just listening to a conversation without them noticing that I was there. OK maybe I was, just a little bit... Anyways...).
                **Conversation * *
???: Is she pretty?
Mateo: Yeah she is amazing I love her.
Moises: You should really meet her.
???: When can I meet her?
Mateo: She's going to have a birthday party on June 1. Maybe you can come.                                       ???:  Ok, I'll be there.                                                                                                                                 Mateo & Moises: Ok

             **End of Conversation**

I wonder who they were talking about? Were my two brothers going to ditch me at my birthday party to go to someone else's? But i couldn't tell them anything... they already had their own life. I couldn't interfere with their choices. Interrupted from my daze, looked up to see 3 boys standing in front of me. Next to my brothers was the cutest person i had ever seen in my life. He was perfect. His light chocolate colored skin and his black hair made me stare until I heard a loud cough coming from my brother.

"Hey sis this is Jaden, a friend we met when we arrived in LA." said Mateo.

"Hi Jaden, I'm Nicole, Mateo and Moises' sister. Nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you too," Jaden said, taking my hand and shaking it, "I've been here multiple times, but why haven't I seen you before?"

"I don't live here, I live with my mom, well I used to live with my mom, now I'm living here. I used to visit." His dark brown eyes trapped me causing me to feel butterflies in my stomach and nervous. You got this Nicole, just smile and answer his questions. Yeah right, like I can do that. Half of me wanted to stay here and the other half was freaking out and wanting to run away.  I was interrupted by a buzzing phone. 

"Well I have to go, my dad needs me, see you later," he turned to me, smiling, " Again, nice to meet you, maybe we can hang out sometime." He walked down the stairs and out the large doors. 

"Sis why are you smiling?" Oops, was I smiling? Apparently i was.

"No, I'm not smiling."

"Really? You look like the Joker."

"Oh yeah, I was talking to my best friend before I came here," I said, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

"Mhm, ok. Well I just got a text from Jaden, he asked if I wanted to go to the mall with him. You guys want to come with us?" asked Mateo, staring at his iPhone 5 which was in front of his face. Gosh i hated today's society, they always had their phone in their faces.

"Sure, lets go," said Moises, walking down the stairs. 

"Can i go with you guys?" I asked. I really wanted to see Jaden again, he was sooo perfect.

"Yeah, he said you could go too," said Mateo."

"At what time did he say he would meet us there?" I asked. It would take a long time for me to get ready. I had to look great for him.

"He lives 1 block away from the mall, so he said we can just call him when we're there, so we can get ready." said Mateo.

"Ok, well I'm going to go talk to my best friend... see ya later!" I had to leave before he started asking questions. I ran up the stairs and down the hallway to my room. I felt like I was acting wierd, maybe that's why Mateo kept staring at me suspiciously. But there was something that I couldn't get out of my head as I got ready, well more like a someone..
