TAEHYUNG's POV

The way she tilted her head and offered herself to look for a dessert for me, completely melted my heart. It made me feel all soft inside, which is such a foreign feeling to me, but I like it, this feeling is only here because of her. Areum looked so small and fragile in my arms. It was almost as if I could crush her if I held her too tight. I seemed to notice that she was a bit uncomfortable with all the gazes she was receiving from people that recognized me. I am just hoping it's just gazes and not actual plots or attempts to do anything against my family and most importantly to her just to get something out of me or the rest of the Kim family. I would have to be more careful whenever she goes out, the possibilities that something could happen to her are endless which scared me. The waiter that has been attending us comes over with the water she ordered and I let go of her so she can drink her water. I ask for the tab, he hands it to me and I pay for it. Areum shakes her head.

"Tae let me pay for my food."
"No. I have it covered, Areum."
"Now, I will owe you, whatever you want, I'll get. How about some dessert like I suggested?"

Again, that warm soft feeling rose inside me, my eyes softened while I stared down at her. Areum glances up at me. She has a sudden confused look upon her face and she touches her face like if she was looking for something to remove.

"Do I have something on my face?"
"Beauty." I reply.
"That's cheesy." She glared but laughed.

Even her giggles were comforting. I shook my head.

"I'll just order a dessert for you. I noticed you have quite the sweet tooth and from what Seokjin has told me." She mentions before looking back at the waiter.

She looks through the menu and nods her head with a smile. Areum then goes to the waiter and whispers to him what she wants. I pull out my wallet to pay for what she ordered and she shakes her head.

"No. Tae. This is on me."

I sigh in defeat and nod, which caused her to smile ever so widely. She goes back to ordering. The waiter does an 'o' shape with his mouth while nodding.

"On it. I'll have it ready as soon as possible." The waiter tells Areum.

She nods, looks over her shoulder at me and grins. She turns her body to face me.

"I'm going to sit down and finish my water."
"Go ahead. I'll stand for now, my legs are tired of sitting."

Areum takes a seat and begins to drink her cup of water. It was quiet at first. She soon started a conversation. From how she chose topics I could tell she wanted to know about my family and most of all me. I mean I understand why, we are to be wedded soon so it's best if she gets to know more about us. I tried to answer as many questions as possible without saying too much. There is stuff I wish to tell her after we are married so she won't run off, it was better that way. She then said something that caused me to freeze and slowly lose the smile that was once upon my face.

"I would like for my friends to assist our wedding. Jungkook and Jisoo. I know you've met them before, although it was brief. I'm sure you remember." She sighs out.

I knew what she was talking about. That time when she came to the hotel with her father and friends. One of them was carrying her on their back. How could I forget? She was rather sassy, bold like attitude about the situation, which drew me so much more to her. I clear my throat and glance over at her.

"Does your father know about this?" I asked.

"He would allow it, but the thing is that my father still doesn't know that we are going to be married. I haven't had the chance to tell him. Taehyung, he's still in the hospital. I only get to visit him for a while; I'm usually busy taking care of the kiddos."

"I'll tell him."
"Huh? No, I should be the one to tell him." She blurts out before sitting back.
"Why don't we both tell him? It would be best. So then we can both have a word."

She definitely gave it a thought because she did not answer right away.

"Can I give you my answer later?"

I nod. She gives me a slight smile and nods, before finishing up her water. Areum looked very much deep in thought. I felt like she was going to give a good while before giving me an answer. A few minutes passed by and we were dead silent. All we could hear was the utensils against the plates from the people surrounding us and soft chatter. She looks back and over her shoulder. She spots the waiter and she begins to clap happily. Areum looks back at me and eyesmiles.

"It's here!"

She definitely switched up real quick. The waiter smiles down at her and hands her the box that held the dessert inside. She takes it and lightly dances around in her seat making sure not to mess with the box too much. I chuckled and looked up at the waiter. He kept his eyes upon her, while she danced around cutely. I glare at him and Areum opens her eyes to look at me.

"We can go now, Tae."

She smiles at me before looking up at the waiter.

"How much will it be?"

The waiter side eyes me then looks down at her again.

"It's on the house."

Her eyes widened.

"No, no, no. I'll pay for it."
"It's on the house. I hope you two enjoy the dessert. It's one of my favorites."

He bows to us before picking up our dishes and leaving. Areum watches him walk off and then glares over at me.

"What did you do?"
"Huh? I didn't do anything. What do you mean?"
"I was going to pay for this and suddenly the waiter says it's on the house. That seems rather suspicious to me."

I raised my hands up to my chest and shook my head. Areum squints her eyes and pouts, before giving me a slight nod. I stand up and so does she. I signal her to follow me. She nods once more and we head out of the restaurant. We walk alongside each other to the car. As we head into the parking lot, Areum stops and looks off into the distance. She taps my shoulder and signals me to look over to what she had seen.

"That's such a cute puppy. I wonder what type of breed that dog is?"
"It's an Australian shepherd. They are very family friendly dogs." I state.

She nods to my words never losing eye contact with the dog. I swear her eyes even sparkled. I smiled. It was cute how mesmerized she was with the puppy. My phone buzzes and I look down at it. A groan escaped my lips and then I sighed out loudly.

"What's wrong?"
"You know how I mentioned earlier that my father wanted to speak to us tomorrow morning, he changed it."
"So we are going to go see him right now?"
"Yes. I'm sorry."
"No. It's okay. It isn't your fault. We should hurry though; we don't want to keep him waiting. I should be apologizing for delaying us."

She bows her head and pouts. I shook my head. I knew she wasn't going to accept anything I said, so I tried to choose my words wisely.

"No need to apologize. It's okay. Also you don't need to bow to me, Areum."

Areum only nods and places the box on top of the car. I looked at her confused and she swiftly went into my torso, embracing me. She snuggles her face into my chest like the first time she asked me to hold her. I hold my arms up and slowly embrace her back. Was she okay? This behavior seems so off. I didn't know Areum well enough to know if this is how she behaves herself, but I knew some things about her. Seokjin had stated that she loves hugs but doesn't just hug anyone. I know that technically we are to be married but we are just getting to know each other. I wonder what's going through her mind at the moment. I pat her head softly and stroke her hair. Leaning my head down towards hers. She felt so warm, so soft. This beautiful woman is going to be mine.
