Rosalie looks around the great hall with a smile on her face as the jacko lanterns float around. The smile is wiped off her face when she looks to the gryffindor table seeing Hermione isn't anywhere at the table. Severus turns to his best friend mouth open to ask her a question his mouth closing and following her eye site "Rosie what's the matter" he asked. Rose snaps her head to him "Nothing it's just i can't seem to find ms. granger i haven't seen since this morning before charms" she stated her eyes still surveying the area for the bushy haired girl. Severus didn't know what to say knowing what he says will be offensive so he just grabs her hand and squeezes it.
Rose shakes her head turning to snape talking with him quietly before the great halls doors crash open a panicked Quirell running in. rose raises from her seat slightly "TROLL IN THE DUNGEON, T-TROOLLL IN THE DUNGEON. Thought you oughta know" Quirell falls to the floor passed out. Everyone is silent before every student is screaming and running.
SILENCEEE" dumbeldore bellows, the students calm down "Everyone will please not panic. Now prefects will lead their houses back to the dormitories. Teachers will follow me to the dungeons" Dumbeldore instructed. Rose looks at severus fear swimming in her eyes. Severus turns to her "Rose don't follow the teachers to the Dungeons follow mr weasley to the gryffindor tower" she nods at severus walking down to the tables and walking over to the gryffindor tables gliding her way over to Percy. Percy looks at her shocked as she walks next to him "Professor aren't you supposed to be on your way with the other professors to the Dungeons" she looked at him and shook her head.
"Mr. weasley right now my main concern is to get you and the others to the tower safely. You may be a prefect but you do not know every spell to defend yourself" she told him, he nodded and continued to lead the students to the common room. Students sat on the sofa's and chairs slightly shaken.
She stood by the portrait surveying the crowd for Harry, Hermione and ron. Her eyes widening when she couldn't find them. "Percy, Fred,George" The three boy's heads raising when they heard the alert in their professor's voice. They hurried over to her "Have you seen Harry, Hermione and your brother anywhere" she asked them. The three of them looked at each other before surveying the crowd "No professor what should we do" the twins asked.
"Right now you three need to keep the students in here and remain calm, i'll be back" The three redheads looked at her with wide eyes "But professor you can't it's dangerous" Percy said worry swimming in his eyes. "I'll be fine mr weasley stay here" she stated sending the three a smile before disappearing into the hallways. As she walked the halls she ran into the other professors having ran in the direction she heard a big bang "Rosie you shouldn't be here you should be with the other students and mr. weasley" Snape said proteciveness in his voice.
"Severus right now i am more concerned about the state of those children than i am in my safety" she stated harshly pushing up against the door pushing it open. The other professors following behind her. What she made her breath get caught in her throat. Harry, Hermione and ron all stood around the mountain troll passed out on the floor. All the professors in the room gasp "Oh, oh my goodness e-explain yourselves both of you" Minerva stutters "Well what it is" Harry and ron say together, harry avoiding his aunts eyes.
"It's my fault professor Mcgonagall" Hermione informs everyone in the room turns to look at her. "Ms. Granger" Mcgonagall askes. Rose looks at hermione not beliving her and that she covering for them much like she used to do for her brother and two best friends and the little rat. "I went looking for the troll. I'd read about them and thought i could handle it. But i was wrong. If harry and ron hadn't come found me...i'd probably be dead" Hermione explained.
"Be that as it may be. It was an extremly foolish thing to do i would have expected more rational behavior on your part ms. granger. Five points will be taken from gryffondor for your serious lack of judgement. As for you two gentlemen i just hope you realize how fourtanate you are. Not many students could take on a fully grown mountain troll and live to tell the tale. Five points will be awarded to each of you for sheer dumb luck" Minerva stated as Rose stared at the two boys with a stern look. "Wait for me outside" Rose tells severus looking at him, he nods and she turns her attention to the three first years.
Not paying attention to quirell at all she gives the three childen a stern look. "What you to boys did was bloody idiotic but very brave, hermione you shouldn't have to lie for these boys. On that note boys i hope you now realize how smart ms. granger along with the friendship she presents to you i suggest you take it, merlin knows you need it" she lectured before walking out the three first years looking at eachother shocked "How does she know everything that happens" Ron asked baffled looking at harry and hermione. They shrugged before making their way to their common room.
Severus perked up hearing the raven haired womans heels clicking "Come with me" she stated grabbing his arm and pulling him in the direction of their sleeping chambers "Why" snape asked "Don't think i didn't notice that gash on your leg" she smiled pulling him into her room and sitting him down on the plush armchair. Walking into her bathroom she grabbed the first aid kit.
"So are you gonna tell me how this happened" She asked looking at him as she cleaned the blood from his leg. "I'd rather not" he stated "and why not" she asked. He grunted softly as the bacterial wipe burned his leg. "Just don't feel like it" he stated she looked up at him through her eyelashes "ok" before starting to stitch his leg and bandage it. Severus smiled at her remembering how she always had a mothering instinct.
November 7th 1972 , Rosalie's Second Year
A younger Rosalie potter roamed the grounds of Hogwarts until she heard pained grunts near the black lake. Quickening her pace she came across a younger Severus Snape. His head snapped up as he heard her approach. His lips curled into a snarl "bug off potter i don't need your help" he sneered. A grimace settled on her lips "I see you met my brother" she spoke softly walking closer to him "I'm not entirely like my brother you'll come to find that we are different despite being twins" she plopped down next to him her knees smashing into the ground though she paid no mind to it.
"Let me help you" She smiled kindly, Severus looked at her hesitantly before letting her help him. He stood from his sitting position turning to look at rose who was still sitting. He extended his hand out her, her red painted nails circling around his palm as he hoisted her up. "Thank you" he stated softly "Noproblem" she smiled. They started walking to the castle other houses looking at them baffled as the Gryffindor walked with her arm looped in a Slytherins. James' wide smile faded as he saw his sister talking and walking with 'snivellus'. "Rosa what are you doing with Snivellus" he asked with a frown on his face.
Remus face palmed at his best friends remark knowing Rose hated Bullying of any kind. "James watch what you say around me and if i ever see you bully Severus again it won't be pretty" Rose stated with a heated glare on her face and scowl on her face. Remus and James walked away from them remus pating her on the shoulder as he went. Severus looked down at her with a half smile.
"Thank you" Rose looked up at him with a soft smile "Anytime"
1991 Harry's First year
Severus shook his head smiling softly at the memory, looking down at his best friend he realized she had finished with the gash on his leg and she was looking at him confused "What, were you think about severus" she asked
"You always made a good mother figure and your doing a good job with the students though i suspect it's always been in your blood" Rose smiled up at him "Thank you" Severus down at her "Anytime"
