"Thank you Lam. You can drop me off here." It's Beam.
"Are you sure with your decision? What about your studies?" Lam asked.
"I'll finish it, though in our home province."
"How bout your P'Forth? Will you just leave him like this?" Lam probed more.
Beam's tears were already at the verge pf falling. He stared at the distance.
"I love him Lam. I love my P'Forth so much..."
Lam nodded. He understood what Beam was feeling. In Beam's eyes was a picture of absolute love and broken heart.
"I'll go ahead, Lam. Thank you for driving me here at the port." Beam said his farewell.
"Take care Beam. I know you're a good friend. I hope you made the right decision. Goodbye..."
While the ship carrying Beam departed from the jetty, his tears freely flowed down his cheeks. Good thing no one was beside him to witness the heaviness of his heart.
Beam felt like he was back to square one. He needed to face a lot of changes since he decided to return to the province. First one being of what will he take for college when he gets back.
It didn't matter if he will start again. He accepted that this was part of his decision to turn over a new leaf away from his P'Forth.

Five years later...
Time flew slowly after Beam left the capital. At the age of 24, he became a professional ans established his own business. But there was never a night that he stopped thinking of his P'Forth.
Two years after leaving him, Beam summed up the courage to call his P'Forth but he was informed that his brother-in-law already moved out. He also changed his contacts and resigned from his office. Beam knew his P'Forth did the right thing. He needed to move on and forget about what our family did to him. That was Beam's last attempt to contact his brother-in-law.
Beam, on his end, tried to forget about his sad experiences in life by having sex with men. He lost count of how many men that he shared with other men. But not one of them can even compare to his P'Forth... the only man that he ever loved with all his body, heart, and soul.
One day, Beam was called by his boss to his office. "Beam, I am sending you to capital to facilitate one of our projects there. Get yourself ready. You and the rest of the team will leave on Saturday."
Beam was excited to hear the news but he felt a pinch in his heart. He will be sent to the city filled with memories from his past. He wanted to decline and remain in his small world. But he realized that he can't keep on running away forever. He needed to face the challenges that are being thrown at him.
When Beam set foot again in the capital, things had changed a lot. Five years of absence was enough to make the place foreign to him again. Beam was assigned to take charge of a condominium project in the metro. Beam switched from medicine to Interior design and he was tasked to do the interiors of the model units. He'll stay for two months in the metro ro finisg all the models units of the condominium.
The designs were done. Even the suppliers of the furnitures were handled immediately by Beam's team.
A problem arose on Beam's third day in the metro. A contractor backed out of the project. They were able to find a replacement immediately. Also, the design for the studio type unit was asked to be changed.
Monday, Beam was still busy with the project likewise all other team members. He was busy in finishing the new design for the studio-type model unit when his phone rang.
