"Baby, wake up. Hey, it's already nine in the morning. You will be meeting your client later, diba?" I tried waking him up by shaking his shoulders lightly.
He only groaned and went back to sleep again kaya niyugyog ko ulit ang balikat niya. Finally, he opened his eyes.
I thought he's going to get up to get ready for work but he just buried his face on the hollow of my neck and began sniffing me. Nakikiliting inilayo ko doon ang mukha niya.
Nakita kong ngumiti siya at kinintalan ako ng mabilis na halik sa mga labi.
"Good morning, wife," he greeted me using his bedroom voice. I can feel my cheeks burning.
"Wife ka diyan. Kilos na, attorney. Don't make your client wait," I told him.
Thankfully, he got off our bed and began stretching his arms. I thought he'd go straight to the shower, but he went to me to hug me tight. Kapagkuwan ay bumitaw din siya sa yakap at kinintalan ako ng halik sa noo.
"I'm gonna take a shower now, don't miss me too much," bulong niya na ikinatawa ko. Natawa rin siya habang pumapasok sa banyo. Napailing na lang ako sa kakulitan niya.
Nagpasya na rin akong tumayo mula sa kama. I began fixing our messy bed and I smiled when I saw a stem of fresh rose placed on the bedside table. Nauna na pala siyang nagising sa akin kanina, natulog lang ulit.
I glanced at our closed bathroom's door where Silas is right now. He keeps on surprising me everyday in different ways. Minsan ay nagigising ako na may pagkain na sa kama. Mga ganoong pakulo niya.
God, he's very sweet.
Dinampot ko ang nakadikit na note sa tangkay ng rosas at binasa iyon. If you're an angle, you're less than 90° because you're ACUTE one : )
Napatawa ako sa nakalagay doon. If I'm not mistaken, this was his first banat way back when we were in college.
I put the rose on a vase half-filled with water to keep it alive. I went to the kitchen to prepare our breakfast. Late breakfast, actually. I decided to cook the usual dishes. Eggs, bacon, and his favorite toyo. I also started brewing the coffee beans for us to drink later.
Patapos na ako sa pag-aayos ng mesa nang makita ko siyang lumabas mula sa kwarto. I almost held my breath when I saw him in his Armani suit. He looked dashing. Ibinaba ko ang hawak hawak na kutsara at nilapitan siya para ayusin ang medyo natabingi niyang necktie. Kapagkuwan ay pinagpag ko ang suit niya.
"There you go, attorney. Looking good as ever. Breakfast?" anyaya ko sa kaniya.
He held my hand and pulled a chair for me to sit down. He kissed my hand that he's holding and turned to sit on his chair facing mine. Nakangiti lang ako the whole time ginagawa niya iyon. He's really sweet at hindi ako nagsasawa doon. I can actually feel my heart swelling of too much happiness.
We ate and talked about things, like the blueprint I'm working on these days. I'm now a licensed civil engineer and I'm working on one of the most known firm in the country. Si Silas naman ay isa na ding ganap na abogado. He decided to build his own law firm na ngayon ay tanyag na din sa bansa. We're both successful in life, I can say that.
Ngayon nga ay may kikitain siyang client kaya kahit na gusto niyang manatili lang dito sa bahay ay hindi ako pumayag. Buti nalang at nagbago ang isip niya. Sayang din kasi, balita ko ay mabigat ang kaso nito. Silas would in no doubt, win that case. Sobrang magaling kasi talaga tong baby ko. He won every case he handled, ni minsan ay hindi pa ata siya natalo.
After eating, I walked him out of the house to kiss him goodbye. Napabuntong hininga ako nang maiwang mag-isa. Bumalik ako sa loob ng bahay upang magligpit ng pinagkainan.
