Chasing Stars (Tendou Satori X reader)

5. Tendou's POV

This chapter and a few more after this will be in Tendou's point of view, I'll tell you which chapters are at this beginning like this and when it finally does switch back to y/n's point of view though :)!!

The sun had just set as I left the volleyball club. Semi and Ushijima wanted to talk to me after about somethings, mostly concerning y/n.
At this point the whole team can tell she's faking her smiles, but everyone is to scared to point it out.
She had left right after practice, so I didn't get to talk to her or walk her home. Which honestly sucks.

Walking home in the dark used to be a huge habit for me seeing as I would normally practice after practice til' dark.
Nowadays though it's just not as fun, maybe it's because I've grown out of it but I don't even know.

For some reason tonight though the air feels heavy. Though it seem to only be affecting me, as the other two seemed fine once they left.

"Hmm~" I hum as I keep walking. Originally I planned to go straight home, but tonight I decided to take a little pit stop and check on y/n.
For some strange reason I have a feeling she isn't doing the best.
Walking a little farther down the street I notice light coming from a certain house.

Examining the house a little closer I notice it's y/n's place.
"Why the hell is she still awake?" I mumble to myself, even though I know that she probably wishes she was just asleep.
Reaching the door I knock a few times. Inside I hear a bit of movement then see the door open up.
Standing there I see a wide eyed y/n who had obviously been crying.

"Tendou? What are you doing here? Shouldn't you head home?" She asks a bunch of questions, probably trying to distract me from how miserable she looks.
"Well I was heading home, but decided to check on you first," I give she a half smile. I can tell by the look in her eyes that she senses pity from me, though she is completely wrong. She always gets that look in her eyes when she feels like people take her as less then she is.

"Well I'm fine so you can go," She smiles then tries closing the door.

I roll my eyes at her and stick my arm out making so she can't close the door, "Well you obviously aren't fine seeing as you have been crying."
This time she shakes her head, but doesn't anything. I look at her, noticing the tears filling her eyes.
"Please just leave me be Tendou. I just want to be alone right now," She says it holding back sobs.
I shrug and turn back around, not wanting to argue and make her more upset.

"Whatever you say, but you best believe I'm talking to you about this tomorrow~" I hum it out trying to lighten the mood, and lift the tension from the air. Which seemingly works for .2 seconds until that all breaks.
Walking off the street and back to the direction of my house, I notice that all lights in her house have been turned off. Besides one, her bedroom light. Where I see a silhouette of a girl watching my walk down the street, disappearing into the distance.

That honestly sounds quite creepy, but to me it felt like a normal Saturday, despite it being Tuesday.
I look back to the house and notice that all the lights have now been turned off. Sighing to myself I keep walking, luckily though my house isn't much farther.

--Time Skip--

Once I reach my house I immediately head to my room. Putting my bag down I head to my bathroom and quickly take a shower.

After showering I head down to the kitchen. Looking around I don't find anything that really appetizing to me so I just head back up to my room.
Pulling out my phone I go to my messages and text Semi.

-To: Semi Circle
-From: Monster Dude
-Dude~ Y/n really isn't okay :(

Honestly I don't know what to do so I decide to just message the only other person on the team who knows her as good as me; Semi Circle.

Lying down on my bed I stare at the messages me and y/n had exchanged yesterday morning. It was so much better then, even though she was still dating that blond jerk.
"I feel like I should message her again..."
Staring for a little longer at the phone I decide against it despite everything tell me to just message her.

After a little while of staring at my screen I get a text from Semi.

-To: Monster Dude
-From: Semi Circle
-Well no duh

Rolling my eyes at his message I respond almost immediately.

-To: Semi Circle
-From: Monster Dude
-No but I visited her house and
she was crying :( What do we do? 

I sent my phone and just stare back up at ceiling.
"Y/n.. please just tell me how you truly feel..." I sigh and close my eyes. 
All I want to do it make sure she is okay, but all she does is hide everything. As I start to fall asleep I then here the notifications ring off my phone.

Looking at them I notice not one, but two notifications.
Opening the one from Semi first I regret it immediately as I feel like I'm about to be lectured again.

-To: Monster Dude
-From: Semi Circle
-Well did you try to make sure
she was okay?

-To: Semi Circle
-From: Monster Dude
She told me to leave :(

I try to not say anything else though, knowing either way Semi will just angrier at me.
Checking the other message I notice it's from y/n.

-To: Strawberry Boi
-From: Manager-Chan
-Hey, I'm sorry about earlier

I smile, though I know it's probably only from guilt.

-To: Manager-Chan
-From: Strawberry Boi
-It's fine :) Just talk to me tomorrow, please

Finally I decide to just fully shut my phone off and start to fall asleep.
Just hoping y/n will actually talk to me about this all tomorrow.

Author's Note: Honestly I really enjoyed writing this chapter the most only for the text messages, but more specifically the names. Sorry about this chapter coming out later than I planned, hopefully I'll get the next few up sooner. Anyways, I hope everyone who read this has a wonderful morning/ day/ afternoon/ night. Hopefully all of you guys enjoy this story so far, thank you for reading this too :)
