"No wonder this is a five-star hotel. Looks fancy." Said Angela while walking to the desk with Phoebe behind her.
"Good evening ma'm. Do you have a reservation here? Would you like to book one or register in?
"Yes please."
Phoebe explored the room. Looking around, she suddenly gets an idea. She walks to the reservation desk as well and asks someone else,
"Umm hi. Do you have a small library here or something-a-a place with books?"
"Yes we do. On that board are the directions to every facility we have here."
Said the receptionist, pointing to a board right above the couch they had just sat in. It looked like a simple map of some sort.
"Thanks!" Said Phoebe gleefully, knowing the little library would give them the knowledge they needed. She walked to the board, examining it and looking for the library icon. Just then, Angela walks in with their door keys in her hand.
"We're booked in. Our room is on the 3rd floor and it's room number 312."
"Wait. I just need to check out the library."
"Uhm.. Okay. Come back quickly, it's getting late."
"Will do!" She half-shouted, running down a door to their right apparently excited because of books. Angela waited for a minute or so before she came back, nearly skipping in excitement. She was holding a hard, leather bound book (which she probably stole) titled
Biblical Hermeneutics 3: Heaven, its other studies and myths
"This is exactly what we need!" Phoebe said, holding out the book an inch from Angela's face.

"Alright Phoebe, calm down. It's just a book!" Angela replied while smiling and pushing the book farther from her face. Angela walked to a door to their left, silently telling Phoebe to follow her. The door led to a hallway which led to some 1st floor rooms and an elevator. They walked to the elevator and Phoebe pressed the 3rd floor button. As the elevator ascended, Angela asked
"Why do you love books so much anyway?"
"Isn't it clear to you that I'm nerdy?"
"Well.. Yes actually." Replied Angela jokingly.
".. Oh.." Said Phoebe, staring at her feet.
"No! I meant that in a good way!" Angela said quickly.
"Yay!" Phoebe responded happily.
They felt the elevator slow down before it came to a stand-still. The metal doors before them opened and they stepped out. It looked like another hallway except with many doors on every wall and a soft carpet on the floor—the trademark look of a hotel hallway.
The walls were white with the doors oak brown. The frame of the doors were painted red. Angela walked towards the left, looking for their room. Phoebe was walking with the book open in her hand, already taking a peek at its Table of Contents.
"310.. 311.. Here. 312." Angela pointed to a door to their left.
"Ok." Said Phoebe, her sight being covered by the book, taking a wrong turn to the right and bumping into the door of the neighboring room. The book fell out of her hand and slid a meter away as a page tore from it. The page flew out an open window but nobody had noticed.
"Ow! Wait.. Where's the book?!" Said Phoebe, a kind of panicked look on her face.
"It's just there, don't worry!" Angela picked up the book and handed it to Phoebe. She then took out their keys and unlocked door 312. It looked much like the concierge except that it was furnished like a hotel room. Angela closed the door behind them and put their keys in their handbag before exploring the room. A white, queen-sized bed was in the far right side of the room with a red nightstand beside it. The nightstand had a lamp on it and the ceiling had a circular bulb hanging by a string 1.5 feet long. There were 2 doors in here—one going to the bathroom and one going to the balcony. There was a small table and some chairs fit for 2 people in the middle of the wall to their left. A television was mounted to the wall above the table. An air conditioner was already turned on for them, cooling the room. Phoebe immediately went for the bed and leaned against the headboard while still having the book in her hand.
"What's so special about that book anyway?" Asked Angela, laying down on the bed and staring up at the ceiling.
"Oh, you haven't realized? Well basically, this book might just have the secrets of getting back to Heaven!"
"Erm.. Are you sure? There's a chance that other fallen angels like us have tried that same technique and haven't found anything helpful."
"But there's also a chance they just haven't looked properly."
"Heh. That could be true though. Anyway, it's really late and we need to get some rest. Maybe we could read it tomorrow."
"But we're fallen angels. Technically, we don't need sleep, food, we don't need to pee or poop-"
"It's nice to get some rest anyway." Said Angela, flicking off the light switch for the lamp and the light bulb. They got into bed and soon fell into a deep slumber.
But they had only a few hours of sleep for someone had knocked on the door. Loudly. In fact, it wasn't a knock. Whoever wanted to come inside was about to break the door open. They were pounding hard on the door. They were the same ones who chased them on the street.
