The happenings of a wedding night

Part 10

Akiteru was talking with his brother and some of his friends about a recent volleyball game that was on TV when Saeko dropped down next to him totally done.

"Honey could you please accompany grandma Li to her taxi after I help her say goodbye to everyone?", Saeko asked Akiteru exhausted from handling her family all day but wanting to keep this task away from her younger brother.

"Sure honey", he kissed her cheek "it's not a problem".

"Thank you so much", she exhaled reliefed and walked over to her grandma.

"I really don't understand how you don't have the guts to say no. I mean she can do stuff on her own god damn it, you have some pride Akiteru", Tsukishima rolled his eyes.

"It's not about pride, Kei. I like doing things for her because I love her", Akiteru chuckled "I thought you would understand that".

"Are you questioning my ability to love?", Tsukishima asked a little pissed.

"I did not", Akiteru sighed "maybe we just don't love the same way. That's okay".

"Yeah I have never really seen you show affection before", Kuroo stated "but I haven't seen you much so maybe that's that".

"You're not one to talk", Kenma mumbled.

"What?", Kuroo asked.

"Nothing you idiot", Kenma rolled his eyes and walked away with Kuroo immediatly following him.

"He has a point though", Noya said and Daichi nodded "you are not quite the affectionate type but for all we know it might change when you start a relationship".

"You are kidding me right?", Tsukishima raised a brow "I am in a relationship".

"We couldn't possibly have known that", Suga defended them.

"I have been in a relationship since middle school!", Tsukishima spoke angrily "you never knew me without being in a relationship!"

"Oh shit", Noya frowned.

"Oh my... it's Yamaguchi", Suga whispered.

"Of course it's Tadashi. Who else could I possibly love. He is the only sane person on this whole god forsaken planet", Tsukishima was still angry about the comments from the others.

"That's great", Daichi tried to ease the tension and Tsukishima's anger went away but only to make room for another emotion. Guilt.

"Have I been that bad of a boyfriend?", Tsukishima asked himself rather then the people around him "Am I unable to show my love?"

"Hey there I am sure that even though we didn't notice Yamaguchi knows that you love him", Suga tried to calm him down "he knows you so well I am sure you show him in your own way and he understands".

"But what if that isn't enough for him anymore someday?", Tsukishima looked at Suga panicked "what if he leaves me then because I was too emotionally wrecked?"

"I am sure he won't. He loves you like you are, not how you could be, you know?", Suga smiled at him and suddenly Yamaguchi stood beside them.

"Hey guys what are you talking about?", he asked them and no one had the guts to tell him.

"The volleyball game that was on TV lately", Akiteru didn't really lie with that answer.

"Oh cool", he smiled at Akiteru and lifted his glass to his lips just to find it empty "I guess I have to refill".

"I was just going to get me a drink anyway", Tsukishima spoke up and took the glass from him "I am getting yours too".

"Thanks Tsukki", Yamaguchi smiled at him and Tsukishima left for the bar.

"He does this all the time he just doesn't notice that he does it for me", Yamaguchi explained "because he keeps coming up with dumb reason why he wanted to do it anyways. I mean, his glass is full he wasn't going to the bar for himself anyway".

Everyone looked at him with a weird look on their face because he just explained something he shouldn't even know about.

"Oh I heard the entire conversation", Yamaguchi added then turned to his left "thanks for making him feel better Sugawara".

"No problem. I figured that he couldn't be as bad as he made himself appear", Suga smiled at the younger man.

"He isn't. Not at all", Yamaguchi sighed softly "he is just not good with letting people around him know he cares for them or show his weak side. We are working on that together. But he is the cutest person on earth when we are alone. And even now, he always makes sure I am good. Even if he has to use made up excuses to not appear weak or whatever. I know it's not a weakness to show emotion and I am slowly passing that on to him. It's a long way to go, but I will go with him".

"That's really cute", Suga smiled at the younger man "I am sure he knows how happy he can be to have you".

"Yeah I know", Tsukishima suddenly spoke up "and I am thankful every day".

"Tsukki", Yamaguchi turned around to see his boyfriend.

"I am sorry I am not good at this stuff in public", Tsukishima spoke quietly but audible for everyone.

"You don't have to be sorry, Tsukki", Yamaguchi took his drink and set it on the table.

"Yes I do", Tsukishima pushed his glasses up.

"You are just like your brother, you just don't notice it", Yamaguchi smiled at him "you just got me a drink without me asking you to".

"Because I like doing this stuff if it's for you", Tsukishima tried to justify his behaviour although no one thought that it had to be.

"Exactly", Yamaguchi threw up his hands "just like your brother".

"No, he just does everything for his gilfriend because he loves her that much a-", Tsukishima halted as he had a realization "oh my god we are the same".

"And that is nothing bad", Yamaguchi lay his hand on Tsukishima's cheek "you are getting better with showing your emotion and that is wonderful".

"Yeah, I think I might like it", Tsukishima smiled "because it makes you happy".

"Just like me", Akiteru grinned and a blushing Yamaguchi was pulled into their very first public kiss by Tsukishima.
